The staff at Sandy Hill Camp is great. We noticed that they had a vast ethnicity so many children were able to find counselors that looked and talked very similar to them. We went to this camp because of its great reputation. There are so many things to do for all the kids, and they’ll make so many friends. You’ll end up having to take them back summer after summer. For those who haven’t been before, Family Week often takes some explaining. It’s not a “kids’ camp” or a “sleepaway camp”: it’s for the entire family. We share traditional camp accommodations: several families per bunkhouse, and everyone eats community style. During the morning, kids take classes in community dance, English team dance, and art, while parents are free to come dance, play music, sing, or simply relax. After lunch, families come back together, for swimming, jamming, playing games, and a series of great classes for all. During the week of camp, a community like no other grows, culminating in a demo day when everyone shows each other what we’ve been doing. Every evening, we come together to dance. Primary (1st-3rd grade) 6/9-12, Elementary (4th & 5th) 6/12-16, High School (8th-12th) 6/16-19, Middle School (6th-8th) 6/19-23. Plenty of activities and services! Many of our members are FYC Alumni! Early Bird registration is due to Pastor Jonathan on 5/8 by 1pm. The cost is $135 per child, but BPHC is covering $100 of the cost!
Kid's do Strollfit - Norman, OK
Second annual kids do Strollfit class. All kids are welcome to bring their baby stroller, lawn mower, anything they can push and they will do their own Strollfit class. Prizes will be given for best decorated vehicle/push item. I will assign older kids an exercise to teach to the other kids (generally 4 and up). Moms, please help them and practice with them. If you have a younger one that would like to teach, let me know and I will add them. Don't want to exclude any who wants to teach!! Be sure you bring your camera. Money Matters Camp teaches campers the importance of budgeting, saving, and practical spending using fun and engaging finance games. Campers will also participate in a week long business project where students will be responsible for creating their own Ice Cream Shop business model. Money Matters Camp is a fun and interesting way for children to learn financial responsibility. Please bring a light snack, or a lunch if your child is enrolled in camps all day. A $15 material fee will be collected on the first day of camp. For students ages 9-11 who are interested in more of a performance challenge, we offer our 6-week Performance Class. Participants in this class will be involved in a full-scale production, from auditions to set building to opening day. Family and friends will be invited to the performances on Friday, August 19th at 4 pm and again on Saturday, August 20th at 11 am as part of our Family Hour in the Open program. $1275 for a 6-week session, July 4th-29th, August 8th-19th. 9am-2pm. 978-465-2572
