Wahoo for the Thanksgiving Teen Event. I love this event! We'll do some outreach on Wednesday (probably giving out hot chocolate or tea at the balloon inflation) and then partner with Gobble Gobble Give to rock out Thanskgiving Morning serving--and then head home to do Thanksgiving with our own families. If you're coming from further away and want to do Thanksgiving here-that's also totally cool. Get excited and save the date!

Christmas Kid Camp - Adairsville, GA
Parents, need more time to prepare for Santa's arrival? December 12th from 1-6 p.m. the AHS Drama Department will be hosting a day for kids filled with games, snacks, crafts, and more! All kids between the ages of 4-13 are welcome to attend! Preregistration is $25 or it's $30 at the door, with an additional $10 per kid. Movement & Art Camp - Friendswood, TX
Kid Creations & Bay Area Pilates are teaming up for another 3-hour Movement & Art Camp. Kids will have FUN learning the benefits of pilates in a choreographed-for-kids pilates class for one hour and then will be escorted down the sidewalk to Kid Creations for two hours of arts and crafts. Snacks will be provided. Workshops can be attended separately. The cost is $45 for both. To come to Kid Creations alone from 1:00-3:00pm, the cost is $30. You MUST pre-register because space is limited. Call soon! These events always fill up quickly!

Visual Arts Camp - Session 3 - Takoma Park Community Center
Have fun and express yourself through color, shape, drawing and design! Each session includes a new art related theme and group of art processes and activities. Sharpen your drawing skills, explore new materials and exercise your imagination with inspiring art projects. Two hours of drawing in the morning using graphite, pen and ink, colored pencils, charcoal pencils, pastels, oil pastels or conte crayon, etc. followed by two + hours of painting and/or collage and assemblage in the afternoon. Media such as watercolor painting, sumi-e, mixed media painting, texture and found - object assemblage will be explored. Art related movies, access to the game room during the day and outdoor art adventures are all included in what will certainly be a memorable summer experience. All materials included. Instructor: Katie Dell Kaufman Paperwork will need to be completed prior to the first day of camp. Rain Forest Adventures - Forney, Trinity Family Church
Kids will learn about the rain forest through art & literature this week! They will draw & paint toucans, tree frogs, mandrills, exotic plants of the jungle, & many other aspects of the rain forest. Campers will enjoy using their creativity to create rain forest animals from clay each day. Please bring to camp: Large shoe or boot box for fired clay pieces (write name on box), old shirt to wear during camp Each day: Drink & snack to enjoy during 15 minute break About our Summer Camp! Campers will experience 3 hours of creative opportunities each day. They will learn & practice basic skills such as drawing with pencil, markers, charcoal, oil & chalk pastels. Students will learn color mixing & painting with artist paintbrushes while using watercolors & acrylic paints. Every day, students will get their hands into clay while they learn handbuilding techniques such as pinch, coil & slab. All clay projects will be fired & will be ready 2-3 weeks after camp. These camps are for ages 5-12 years & in some locations there will be sessions which include teens.
