This camp uses the Processing programming language to learn more about programming while making interactive illustrations, animations, and simple games. The Processing language is based on the popular Java language and is designed to appeal to visual artists, so this is a good way to get started in "real" programming. This camp runs from 9AM-3PM, M-F. Lunch is provided. This camp is open to students entering 7th-10th grade. CAMP DETAILS Seussical Jr Week Everyone is invited on our Seussical adventure this summer! Let your imagination take you into the wild and wacky world of Dr. Suess and some of his best loved stories such as "Horton Hears A Who" and "One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish". Become a Who, Yertle the Turtle or even that Cat in the Hat while learning hit songs from the Broadway smash. Well play games to increase confidence and self expression as well as make our own props and set pieces. Participants of this camp will be invited to perform during a VIP pre-show before our full scale production of Seussical Jr. on the Main Stage of the Athenaeum Theatre in Lakeview. This camp is a week long session where players are expected to have previous tennis experience. The players will be grouped by skill level and will be given the opportunity to improve their skills in a fun and encouraging atmosphere. The daily schedule will consist of match play, drills, competitive games, individual time with the coaches, footwork training, strategic thinking, and pool time. Players will work on the following: groundstrokes, volleys, overheads, serves, singles and doubles play. Each day Players will learn new techniques and different ways to approach their opponent in a match. Players will be faced with constant challenges in a way that will only increase their passion for tennis. This camp will help further develop the players skills, giving them the confidence to continue playing tennis. Hannah Jones, a member of the Saint Marys School class of 2016, will be leading this summers Tennis Academy. She has been playing tennis since she was a young girl and has a passion for this sport. Hannah has been on the SMS Varsity tennis team for three years and is also involved with many extracurricular activities in and outside of school.
