The Advanced Camp offers serious game improvement for the serious junior golfer with a handicap of 15 or lower. The camp concentrate on instruction which will take a campers game to the next level, with the emphasis on mental conditioning, course management, and the short game. NFL Pouncey Twins Youth Football Camp - Lakeland, FL
The Lakeland PAL Youth is proud to partner with NFL superstars Michael and Maurkice Pouncey to host the 6th Annual Pouncey Twins Youth Football Camp on Saturday July 9, 2016. The free camp will take place from 8AM – 12PM at Lakeland Christian School, located at 1111 Forest Park Street. Boys and girls ages six to sixteen are invited to come develop their football skills with help from NFL players and coaches from across Polk County. To guarantee a spot, parents must pre-register their child. Registration forms are now available at the following locations: Lakeland PAL Complex / 325 W 2nd Street Boys & Girls Club / 1525 Martin Luther King Jr Ave Simpson Park Community Center / 1725 Martin Luther King Jr Ave Dream Center of Lakeland / 635 W 5th St Registration forms can also be requested by emailing [email protected] Members from the LakelandPD’s SWAT and K9 team will also be on hand. PREP Track & Field/Cross Country Camp - Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory School
Prep runners will enhance their running and speed development at the Brebeuf Jesuits Track and St. Vincent Health Field, and also on one of the few, true Cross Country courses in the state. The running workshop is designed to help ALL athletes in ALL sports improve their speed, agility, and coordination by doing plyometric drills, speed chutes, bungee, and drills designed to increase propulsion, responses, and rate of stride. Prep runners will conclude their week with a track meet, where all families are invited and encouraged to attend. Head Cross Country/Track Coach Karl Knerr 74, has 25 years of experience in Cross Country and 30 years in Track & Field. He led the Braves to 3 consecutive State Finals in cross country. He just finished his 5th year as head track & field coach, and was named back-to-back IATCCC Coach of the Year as well as NFHS Boys Track & Field Coach of Year in 2014.
