Our kids have been going to the local Boys and Girls club for the past year but this was the first time they ventured out for summer camp. I'm so glad they did. They got to try out so many new things. One of the big hits was the work in the garden. Now they want to turn out backyard into a vegetable patch. Kid's Camp at VT People's Convention - Montpelier, VT
This Spring the Vermont People’s Convention will bring hundreds of people together as a critical step in building a unified movement for healthy communities and a just society. On April 30 & May 1st at Montpelier High School, individuals and organizations working for disability rights, racial justice, immigrant rights, climate justice and labor unions will come together for a weekend to share, learn and take action together. The organizers of the convention are working hard to make this an intergenerational event with a parallel Youth Activism Summit for teens, and a Kid’s Camp for children 12 and under. To make lasting and far reaching change we need the participation of Grandparents, Parents and their Children! The Kid’s Camp at the People’s Convention will not only provide quality childcare, but will be a fun space for kids to learn about and participate in creating a more just and vibrant world. Through stories and activities, kids will have opportunities to learn and think critically about various struggles for human rights and dignity. StagePlay: Jr. Musical Theater Camp - Palos Park Recreation Center
Unlike the "olden days", when fun was dependent on whatever was readily available, so much of todays youth leisure time is spent staying connected through technology. What would happen if suddenly all that went away? "A Kids Life" will explore that possibility, and thats where the fun and music all begin! The StagePlay program also incorporates valuable life lessons such as teamwork, commitment, conquering fear, being prepared, confidence and theater etiquette. On the last day of camp, our talented young stars perform for friends and family, showing off all that they have learned in only one week. Participants will receive a souvenir camp t-shirt. Use charts, compasses, navigation, and GPS to track your kayak path. Make an item to let other geocachers know weve discovered a particular treasure, participate in the first ever NESS geocache kayak trail and go geocaching in different locations around Stonington and beyond! Swim, Tennis and Flag Football Camp - Community Services Department - City of Palo Alto
Please sign up early for our popular tennis, flag football & swim camps held at Palo Altos Rinconada Park and Pool. Participants start each day with a tennis lesson 10-11:30am from the staff of Tennis program. Following tennis, the participates will eat with swim staff to eat from 11;30 am until 12:30 pm in the Rinconada Park. Following lunch the participates will head out to the field to engage in flag football from 12:30-2:30 pm with the Skyhawks coaching staff. After Skyhawks flag football, the participants will head over to the Rinconada Pool where they will enjoy swimming lessons, water games and be supervised by our lifeguards. Cost includes tennis lessons, soccer lessons, entrance to recreation swim, and supervision. Participants should bring a bag lunch, tennis racket, bathing suit, sunscreen, comfortable shoes and a towel each day. Ages 8-12. Pre and Post Care will be available before and after this camp.
