Mini Camp Weekly P.M. Session - Rice University Tudor Fieldhouse
Sharpen up all of your skills with this 5 day afternoon session mini camp. Each day there is a focus on a different skill. Attend all week and you get to work on all aspects of the game of volleyball in a fun and competitive environment. This camp is designed for the beginner as well as intermediate volleyball players. Learn to Ride a Bike - Bear Creek Park
This is one of the most exciting camps because kids experience the joy of pedaling independently for the first time! This half day camp is perfect for the younger child who is still on training wheels or going from push bike to pedal bike. Our goal is to get them riding their own bike on two wheels by the end of the week using specific techniques, patience, and fun. You can come with training wheels on their bike if that is what they are used to riding. Or, if they are going from a push bike to a pedal bike, just make sure they have a bike that fits - no training wheels need to be added. We will work toward removing all training wheels as the week progresses. Please bring a helmet, 2 snacks, a water bottle, rain gear and closed toe shoes. Teen Artist Work/Study - MacRostie Art Center
The MacRostie Art Center work/study program for teen artists increases accessibility to our educational programming for teens while providing opportunity to experience real-world visual art administration and will look great on any resume or college application. Teen artists may choose to focus on experience in exhibitions and curatorial work, art education, event planning, or any other aspect of what the MAC does for the art community. This opportunity is open to artists ages 15-18. For every 6 hours worked, students will receive a $60 voucher towards the tuition of any MacRostie art workshop to be used in the following year. Seuss Series - Old Trail School
You know "Hop on Pop", "Green Eggs and Ham", and "The Cat in the Hat" but do you know "The Sneetches", "Yertle the Turtle" or "Daisy-Head Mayzie"? This camp will dive into the extraordinary world of Dr. Seuss. Using both well-loved and little known stories by Dr. Seuss imaginations will be going wild. Daily books, crafts, dramatic play, and learning activities (rhyming, comprehension, recall) will be part of the experience that is Dr. Seuss. There will be no class on Friday, July 3rd.
