The West Fargo Park District, Red River Valley Fair and Bell State Bank are teaming up to offer a 2 Day Camp. Campers will experience the Fair form a new prospective. Each Day will be packed with fun activities, including visiting behind the scene of the Grandstand and barns, check out a carnival ride, complete a special project to take home! New this year to the fair is the Street Beat on the Y94 stage. Street Beat is an high energy drum and dance show for you to sit back and enjoy or dance to the beat of the drums. A snack will be provided each day. Please request t-shirt size on registration form. This is a rain or shine event. Meet at the Schollander Information Building. One of Shakespeares most famous tales comes to life in this special adaptation of "A Midsummer Nights Dream" designed especially for tweens! This show takes the fear out of Shakespeare, bringing the characters vividly to life with abounding comedy and an outstanding musical score. The basic story remains intact, but is updated with modern vocabulary and music to make it accessible for everyone. This show has many speaking (and singing) roles to introduce students to your favorite characters. From the "rude mechanicals" Quince and Bottom and all the rest to the two sets of "lovers" that prove nothing has changed when it comes to teens having a "crush" on each other, to the wonderful fairy King and Queen with the energetic and mischievous Puck, there is a part for everyone! For two weeks, your child will be immersed in the world of clay. Campers will learn everything from prehistoric clay working methods, to the modern work of artistic ceramics, and everything in between. The first week is devoted to developing skills using the pottery wheel, sculpting by hand, as well as learning technical aspects of clay including where it comes from, how its used, how its recycled and turned into a finished piece. During the second week, campers will explore different glazing and firing processes including everything that goes into building, loading and firing a traditional Japanese Raku kiln. Safety precautions will be set in place so campers can have a blazingly amazing time! *This is a 9 day camp. Artists Exchange is closed Monday in observance of Independence Day. 401-490-9475
