Junior High at CREEKSIDE High School at LAKEVIEW Summer Camp at Forest Home is an experience designed to challenge, encourage and empower you. Each aspect of the week is designed to draw you out of the everyday, over-committed and ever-changing culture we live in. A week at Lakeview sets the stage for engaging conversations, life-changing moments, fun-filled days and lasting memories. From quiet times to cabin discussions, to recreations and nightly programs, you will be challenged with questions, biblical teaching and authentic relationships.

2016 Pre-Teen Summer Camp – Register March 9-11 - Scott Air Force Base
Youth, ages 9-13, are invited to register for the YP Pre-Teen Summer Camp which is held weekdays during the summer months from 6:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. This camp offers half day care with extracurricular activities for youth. Field trips will be conducted once a week to places like Sky Zone, City Museum, Raging Rivers Water Parks, The Fusion, laser tag, as well as excursions to base activities. (Field trips/activities such as bowling are an additional cost.) Fee: $100/child per week, plus the cost of excursions. Youth Programs membership is required. Annual Program membership is $48/child. Camp begins at 6:30 a.m., and ends at 12:30 p.m. when open recreation at the Youth Center starts. Youth are required to bring their own meals, however the snack bar is open periodically. Limited slots are available, sign-up early! 3rd - 5th grade girls: Kids with Wings- Writing & Reading Camp - Saint Marys School
A reading and writing camp designed for 3rd – 5th grade girls. In a guided reading setting the girls will read and discuss childrens literature that focuses on building girls self-esteem. The curriculum includes a daily writing activity that will focus on grade appropriate writing skills and a creative art activity related to each book we read. We will also spend time outside playing games that will build positive friendship skills. Each day will include a snack, lunch and pool time. DeAnna Huffines graduated from Saint Marys in 1983 from high school and 1985 from College. She then attended Meredith College where she majored in education. Boating: Basic Sailing Camp - Lake Merritt Boating Center
Piedmont Recreation is proud to partner with the City of Oakland Lake Merritt Boating Center. Piedmont Recreation offers transportation to and from these camps. The Basic Sailing Camp requires a swim evaluation that can be arranged through the Piedmont Community Pool at (510) 655-5163. SWIM EVALUATION IS REQUIRED. This entry level sailing class will definitely give kids a chance to get their "sea legs". The campers start off learning the parts of the sailboat and by weeks end theyll understand wind direction as it relates to propelling, and more importantly, controlling their sailboat. Games and drills on the water help to teach these basic skills. No experience is needed. If your child does not have a swim evaluation verification on file, a swim evaluation will have to be completed before the first day of camp.
