Kid's will spend part of the day playing on our gigantic inflatables and party of the day making new friends during interactive play, crafts, and hands-on activities. Overland Kids Halloween Party
Mark your calendars, put on your costume and join us for a fun spooky night with all your friends. We will have costume contests by age groups, pizza and a drink for the kids, scavenger hunt, games and prizes, and candy! This is a free, safe, indoor trick-or-treating event open to children ages 2 to 12 of Overland Residents, Overland Business Owners, and City of Overland Employees and their families. Parents are required to accompany their children for the entire duration of their stay. Registration will start on October 1st and will end on October 29, or until the maximum number has been registered. This event will be held on Friday October 30 in the gymnasium at the Overland Community Center from 6-8:15 pm, with check in time between 5:45 – 6:45 p.m. only. All participants must be in costume and donate at least one can food item to enter the event. Register on Oct. 1 and be one of the first 175 overland kids entered into this year’s extraordinary Kids Halloween Party.

Act Out Loud! - The Little Theatre of Alexandria
Students will experience the process of creating a play from a simple idea to the performance on stage. They will get to pitch their ideas, help form and shape the storyline, write dialogue, create characters and perform for an audience. This unique class is ideal for any student interested in all the aspects of theatre. INSTRUCTOR JOHN WALDRON received his BFA in theatre from Virginia Commonwealth University. As an actor, director, and instructor, he has been working in the region for over 20 years. He has directed shows at Aldersgate and MVCCT. John can be seen in the motion picture Talk To Me starring Don Cheadle and was featured on Investigative Discovery show Who The Bleep!. John is a member of the improvisation group, The Stagecoach Bandits. 7036835778 x2
SJC - Sports Girls Lacrosse - SJC Long Island
Female lacrosse players of all ability levels are welcome to attend this camp. Athletes will develop technical and tactical skills needed to be a successful player. Session will consist of agility, stick skills, offensive and defensive strategy and teamwork drills. Campers will participate in position specific drills as well as scrimmages and other competitions. Adventure Camp is a 6 day residential camp with 3 hot meals a day served family style. Many activities are available from fishing, creek adventure, dance, arts and crafts, library time, sports, and swimming just to name a few. This program is for children ages 6 to 12 and runs Mon through Fri from 8am to 5pm. Camp locations: Wigwam Creek Middle School & LP Rec. Center. This camp includes arts/crafts, sports, games, daily swimming & movies. Breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack will be provided. Discounts are available for families enrolling multiple children. The first week of camp which you register for, the FULL camp payment is due at the time of registration. All other weeks which you register, a $20.00 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve a space in that week of camp. The remaining camp fee is due 7 days prior to the start date of week in which you are registered. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Price shown is for one child only. If a second child is registered, he/she will receive $10 off. If a third child is registered, he/she will receive $15 off.
