July 18-21: Young Archaeologists! (Ages 5-6) - Mountain Kids!
Santa Fe is home to a rich, diverse and ancient history of many cultures. This week we will put on our detective hats to sleuth out some of our local lore combined with outdoor exploration. We will learn about archeology and what a real archeologist does. Well travel to Bandelier and Pecos National Monument to learn about ancestral pueblo people, the Santa Fe Trail and civil war. Of course, no week of Mountain Kids would be complete without plenty of good old-fashioned adventures in nature! 505-699-6230
Young Builder (HALF DAY ONLY) - San Juan Del Rio Catholic School
This is the HALF DAY option for Young Builder. Campers ages 4-5 will want to join us to learn exciting construction techniques using LEGO® bricks. Little Builder allows campers to take their first steps into science and engineering. By using the themes of construction and travel, campers learn about machines, the tools used to work on machines, and their functions. Our material packs include a wide range of bricks and special elements in various shapes, sizes, and colors that are ideal for stimulating childrens creative and imaginative skills. Camp counselors will introduce tasks each day in building vehicles, planes, buildings, towns and transportation systems as we work in groups to build a LEGO city! Campers receive lots of suggestions for ideas but are encouraged to use their own creativity and imagination. Stories and games are also incorporated into this camp, perfect for our youngest little campers, ages 4 and 5. Our pre-k half day camps are 9am-1pm with pre camp options available as well! Ballet/Pre-Tap - Bolles Ponte Vedra Beach Campus
Does your child love to jump, hop, stretch and spin? Dance class promotes teamwork and self-discipline through a variety of props mixed with creative and traditional dance. Students who continue with lessons throughout the school year are eligible to participate in a formal recital at the Times Union Center in May. *Additional fees apply for this event. You will stop off in kitchens from faraway corners of the globe as you dive deep into the cultures of cuisines from through out the world. Through preparing and tasting such exotic appetizers, main courses, and desserts, youll have the richest ever culinary experience and indeed become food worldly. Through El Grupos Youth Summer Bike Camp program your childs confidence, knowledge, and skills increase in a safe, fun and peer-led environment. Activities focus on developing safe-riding skills, mechanical knowledge, and bike handling for each skill level, as well as exposure to health and wellness, environmental stewardship, air quality issues, and recycled art through a series of hands-on experiences. Camp is designed for youth aged 7-13 years old. Perfect for Middle School aged youth! Finanacial assistance available based upon need.
