Seuss Series - Old Trail School
You know "Hop on Pop", "Green Eggs and Ham", and "The Cat in the Hat" but do you know "The Sneetches", "Yertle the Turtle" or "Daisy-Head Mayzie"? This camp will dive into the extraordinary world of Dr. Seuss. Using both well-loved and little known stories by Dr. Seuss imaginations will be going wild. Daily books, crafts, dramatic play, and learning activities (rhyming, comprehension, recall) will be part of the experience that is Dr. Seuss. There will be no class on Friday, July 3rd. Starfish : Superheroes Theme Grades: Entering 1-2 For many Starfish campers, this is their first experience with an all day summer camp program. Our #1 focus is creating a safe, comfortable, group-camping experience. Fishing - Big Fish - McLean Community Center
Fish and Explore will transport campers daily to lakes, rivers and other local waterways. Everyone will catch fish. Campers will be taught the basics of fishing from casting and rigging, to knot tying, to selecting tackle and lures and identifying fish. Advanced lessons on watercraft identification, reading the water, targeting specific species of fish and river navigation are also available. Students will fish different types of water: public and private lakes, reservoirs, ponds, rivers, streams, and creeks over the course of the week. All skill levels of anglers are welcome.
