This camp gives young performers a chance to experience being in a theatrical production, focusing on individual and group creativity while working collaboratively as a team. Students will play theatrically based games and work hard on learning and rehearsing for a show. This camp also allows students to experience the rehearsal process and is a great way to prepare them to be a part of a full length play or musical in school or in the community. The campers will participate in a musical through learning songs, dances, and scenes for them to perform as a whole by the end of the session. INSTRUCTOR MICHAEL PAGE has been teaching theater for 8 years and has been choreographing in local community theaters for the past 10 years. He recently received a BA in Theater and Dance from Christopher Newport University. He currently works as a Music and Movement Teacher at VHBC Preschool as well as teaches classes at LTA, Mount Vernon REC Center, and Browne Academy. He teaches private acting, dancing, and guitar lessons from his home. This camp provides Major League experience to kids who are passionate about learning and playing baseball. Each child receives a look alike national league uniform. The Solon Recreation Department offers two day camps that run in conjunction with one another. The Summer Camp is for pre-kindergarten to fourth graders (child must be at least 5 years old and no older than 12 on their first day of camp). The Adventure Camp is for current fifth & sixth graders (child must be 12 years old or younger on their first day of camp). Camp consists of sports, swimming, activities, field trips and much, much more. The schedules and activities are age appropriately planned.
