Dear friends in Christ! The Living Spring camp would like to cordially invite you to the 2016 Youth Winter Bible Camp at The Ark Christian Ministries in Converse, Indiana December 27-31, 2016! We truly look forward to this event as another opportunity for us all to share our time together at this beautiful place where you can catch up with one another, have sports, games and fun, and most importantly, have an invaluable opportunity to go deep in the Word of God and give praise to our Lord Jesus Christ! Summer Sessions - Cycling - Road Camp - Killington Mountain School
The KMS Cycling Summer Road Camp is a great way to improve your cycling and learn a lot about the sport. Through a combination of training rides, training races, skills work, drills, gym work, demonstrations and discussions, you will become a better cyclist and, more importantly, learn how continue to improve long after the camp ends. This is not intended to be an easy camp with a lot of down time; rather, it is targeted toward 13 to 16 year-olds who are intrinsically motivated to take their road cycling (i.e. Road Race, Criterium, and Time Trial) to the next level. Expect to be on your bike most of the week! There will be bike fitting, guest appearances from local professional racers, a trip to a local training race, instruction on strength and conditioning (and the importance of rest/recovery), discussion of nutrition/hydration basics, long group rides where we work on peloton riding skills, clinics on cornering, sprinting, pedal stroke, bumping, and other skills, clinics on bike maintenance and set-up, lessons on how to prepare for races, training technology, race tactics, discussions on pathways to the Junior National Team and elite levels of cycling, and more. Are you looking for something different to do this summer? Take a new adventure every Monday-Thursday and enjoy many Chicagoland hot spots! Past trips have included a Wrigley Field tour, downtown Chicago, museums, water parks, laser tag, Gameworks, IMAX, bowling, zoo, athletic events and more. Transportation and all admission fees to destinations included. One day a week will be spent at the park district participating in fun games, activities and guest speakers. Features a Bay sailing adventure! Gain your sea legs this week as you learn about the wonders of the Pacific Ocean and San Francisco Bay.
