We invite you to help shake off the deep winter doldrums by joining us for a fantastical event for the dicer, strategist, gamer, and lover of shiny things in all of us! Fimbulwinter might be kept at bay if we show how much we enjoy each others' company while we play and make merry all through the wintery day and into the night! Classes for period games will be taught throughout the day, and yes, we are looking for folks to teach their favorite period dice, bone, board, card, chance,and other games! The Cuil Cholium Game Library will be present, with multiple boards for Nine, Six, and Three Man Morris, Checkers, Chess, Mancala,etc as well as binders with rules and instructions for all these games and more.

Shh! This camp is top secret! All we can tell you is that campers will be creating some awesomely creative and lovingly kid-made gifts for mom and dad (or grandma and grandpa) completely undercover. We’ll even be gift wrapping them so that the secrets will stay safe! ------------------------------- ABOUT OUR CAMPS: Our mixed-media camps are the perfect way to enrich and entertain your little ones during school breaks! Our camps are for children in grades Kindergarten through 5th grade** and include awesome themes that incorporate many opportunities for making (including painting, drawing, collage, sewing, building and much more!) Our experienced instructors and small classes keep our camps both attentive and engaging. No Kid Hungry Campaign - Whisk Bake Sale - Cary, NC
Whisk Carolina will be hosting is a big bake sale on Saturday, October 31st to benefit No Kids Hungry. All of the Whisk chefs and staff will be baking and contributing their time and costs to the cause. Whisk will also donate all profits from the sale to No Kids Hungry. Mark your calendar to come support their efforts for this great cause. !!!
Youth Winter Camp - New Haven, MI
Haven Place will be doing a FREE Youth Winter Camp. Grades 6th thru 12th. This camp will be focusing on Community Service, Discipleship, We will be having youth grades 6 to 12 stay overnight for three nights. We will be doing community service hours on Friday and Saturday. We will be taking the youth to serve senior citizens in the surrounding area. The youth will be making gifts to bring to the elderly. The youth will also be disciples through a program through D-Now Studies called "The Pause" this discipleship course is four sessions and it will equip youth to learn how to seek God in a never ending multitasking environment. They will each receive a student book and t-shirt. We will be having a New Years Eve party for them. Live band and student mentors will be with them during the camp. Weather permitting we will be shoveling snow and going to sledding hills to pass out free hot cocoa and the gospel message. Possibly do "laundry Love" where we go into a local laundry mat and pay for everyones laundry to be done and more!! This 3 night mini-session is a great introduction to Camp Kirby! Adventurers are entering 4th & 5th grades, and live in main camp cabin groups. Adventurers focus on fun in a lively environment. They camp out overnight in the Kirby woods, learn to canoe, try their hand at archery, and participate in sports, games, and arts and crafts. This exciting class teaches students how to build and program LEGO Mindstroms NXT Robots.
