A great weekend for kids 8-13 years old, filled with songs, fellowship, fun and Gods word. Come on your own or as a group with youth leaders from your church. Registration will begin at 7pm on Friday night and the fun goes through Sunday afternoon at 2pm. Its a great time to reconnect with camp friends from summer and to meet new people as well but most importantly its a great time to be encouraged in your walk with Christ. Graham Regional Theatre is excited to hold their first ever summer camp for aspiring actors! Classes and rehearsals will be at The Perry (521 Elm Street) where we will work on singing, dancing, and staging for our musical, Seussical, Jr.! All roles will be played by campers ages 18 and under. Included in the cost of camp is: Theatre, vocal, and movement instruction by theatre professionals and GRT veteran performers. Period 4 - Keeping a Writers Notebook - NBJH Room 329
Each student will be given a Writers Notebook. This is a safe place for students to keep ideas and thoughts like real authors do. We will explore different genres and mentor text. The students will explore ideas, develop volume, revise, edit and publish final pieces of their writing. This will be accomplished through a Writers Workshop format. This class is based on a Ralph Fletcher idea of keeping a Writers Notebook. 8475043400 x2520

A summer program offered in partnership with the O. Henry Museum... We invite young readers to explore a fantastic novel, take it apart, play around in its pages, admire its sentences and characters and questions, and create new work based on the novel. This workshop is led by a Badgerdog teaching artist (professional writer), and Book Crushers will showcase their work for parents on the final day. In previous years we crushed on Wonder by R.J. Palacio and The Turtle of Oman by Naomi Shihab Nye. Well announce this years title as soon as possible. 512-542-0076
Pattern-Making Fundamentals - Manhattan - Esaie Couture Design School
Learn how to draft sewing patterns with flat pattern-making techniques. This course will give you all the basic skills you need to learn how to read and understand patterns and how to create your own pattern styles, using your own measurements to create a custom fit. Students will also learn about how to do simple alterations and changes to this basic pattern, aka the sloper (the fashion term for your basic pattern block). This is a great class for those with no skills in pattern-making or for those who sew and might have made clothes but with no technical training. Make your own investigations by looking at a variety of natural objects, using microscopes, designing your own new product, and promoting your prototype to the NESS Biomimicry Judges. Defensive & Offensive Concepts Camp The Defensive segment will cover defensive tactics, coverages, checking, body play, gap control, positioning, defensive theory, transitions, jumping into the play, and defending odd-man rushes. The Offensive segment will focus on offensive theory, face-offs, sustaining an attack, cycling, attacking with speed, odd-man rushes for, offense at the puck, offense away from the puck, and support. ATTENTION GOALTENDERS - Every RMHS camp will offer professional goaltending instruction from one of our professional goaltending coaches.
