This Girls Only Advanced residential soccer camp is held at Mount St. Marys University and conducted by Camp Director, Rob Ryerson. The emphasis of the program is on individual skill development along with team building concepts and increased tactical decision making for all players. Dessert Benefit & Silent Auction - Royal Family KIDS Camp #273 - Lewis
On Friday, April 29th, 2016, Royal Family KIDS Camp #273 will be hosting their annual Dessert Benefit & Silent Auction. The event will take place at the Lewiston Community Center (1424 Main Street - Lewiston, ID) from 6pm-9pm. The cost is $5/person, or $20 for a family of 5. This is our biggest fundraising event of the year. Royal Family KIDS Camp is a non-profit week-long summer camp for foster children who have been abused, abandoned, neglected, etc. All of the proceeds from this event go directly to the children we support. If you or your business would like to find out how to donate items, money, or services, and be featured in a Digital Auction Brochure that we will send to our members and local media prior to this event, please contact either Valerie Anne Miller or myself, and we can fill you in on the details. Exploring Nature Camp - Churchill Park
Outdoor exploration and basics of ecology are the focus of this week. Well explore the woods, prairie and wet areas. Campers will roll logs looking for slugs and centipedes and learn why dark, damp places are important. Theyll wade in the water to net tadpoles and frogs - discovering that muddy and polluted water are different. Well crawl through the tall grasses to get a bugs eye view of the world. This is a hands-on, mind-on, and mud-on camp! A detailed letter will be sent prior to camp. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Please be sure to bring a water bottle, snack, and apply sunscreen. Lego® StoryStarter II 2:30 - Mt. Bethel Elementary
Story telling was never this much fun! Utilizing the LEGO® StoryStarter set we will introduce students to the basic structures of a well-composed story (making this class a great language arts tool). At the same time we will also introduce them to the world of technology as we show them how to animate their stories in their very own graphic storybook. They will build their LEGO® story scenes and (using photo capture and editing tools) bring the story to life in print. We will create multiple storybooks in this class and each student will receive a DVD containing printable versions of all their creations to take home. In StoryStarter II we will have the same great fun but with all new story types and plots! We will delve further in the story telling process by emphasizing character development and 5 step story telling. You do NOT have to take the first class in order to take II. 770-826-0449
