POTTERY ON THE WHEEL - Walker-MacKenzie Studio - Gertrude Herbert
Instructor: Twila Brock Beginning and advanced beginner students will have the opportunity to continue developing their skills in the various approaches to throwing functional ware on the wheel under the guidance of Twila Brock who specializes in this area. Instruction will be focused on basic techniques. Forms will be thrown, altered, and assembled to create various vessels. Projects will be tailored to the students skill level. Glazing techniques will also be addressed. Students must provide a clean towel each week. No extra supplies will be necessary. *7 Tuesdays beginning April 14 & 1 Thursday, May 28 (20 hours total) 2 PLUs for GA teachers are available; to coordinate please contact the GHIA Education Director. 706-722-5495

CAMP DETAILS Moving Stories: Featuring the Works of Roald Dahl Inspired by the great works of Roald Dahl this full day camp will explore some of our favorite books, such as, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, James and the Giant Peach, Matilda and Fantastic Mr Fox. Sing songs, play games, make puppets, create backdrops, write poems and act out your favorite scenes from these incredible stories in this fun filled, magical, literary adventure. So please, oh please, we beg, we pray, go throw your TV set away, and in its place you can install, a lovely bookshelf on the wall Roald Dahl. 773-944-9146

Session I Volleyball - Cornerstone University
Grades 5-12 (Overnight/Commuter Camp) Check-in will be from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM on Monday morning in the Bernice Hansen Athletic Center. Parents are welcome to attend the training sessions and observe. A medical release form has been enclosed and the registration process will move along much more quickly if this form is filled out (or mailed in) prior to checking in. We will begin camp at 9:00 AM throughout the week. Free time will be from 3:00 to 4:45. Campers may go back to their dorm to relax, play pool, ping-pong or stay in the gym and watch the camp counselors play volleyball. Dinner is from 4:45 to 5:30 with games from 6:00 to 8:00. If you are a commuting camper attending an overnight camp week, the cost of your dinner meal is not included in the camp tuition you paid. Therefore, you may purchase a dinner meal plan for the week at the time of registration. If you prefer, you may also pack a dinner meal for each day or be picked up by your parents to go home/out for dinner.
