LATEST CAMPS NEWS: Adventure Tennis Camp - Off Site Location
Tennis 3.5 hours per day Adventure 2.5 hours per day During the first part of the day, campers join our regular tennis camp and have lunch. Children will be divided by level and develop tennis strokes, rallying skills, and age appropriate competitive play. Campers learn teamwork, make friends and enjoy fun games like Angry Birds Tennis, Skyball, and Big Kahuna. All camps feature Higgins Bucks, Water Fun Day (no swimming) and the Higgins Bucks Store where children buy prizes on Fridays. In the afternoons we set out on an Adventure! Adventures include: Flyers Day: Build a kite or glider and fly them at Blackies Builders Day: Make a Native American mat or basket, or a model airplane Hiking Days: Along Blackies Shore and up to "Hippie Tree" Board Game Mania ACTIVITY OTHER CATEGORY 3. Butch's Sunday School Class is collecting spare change to send a pre-teen from First Baptist Church of Deweyville, TX (a suburb of Houston) that was devestated by the flooding last week to Highland Lakes Camp this summer. Normally the church raises funds by having fundraisers but as you can see...they will have to devote all their time to restoring the church. Chapel Hill's youth have attended this camp several times in the past with great spiritual success.

August Strings Full Day Session - Portland First Church of the Nazarene
We offer a unique experience of instrument specific ensembles in our morning session and a combined ensemble in our afternoon session. Students will receive both small and large group coaching from our music specialists and camp counselors. We will also have fun with musical games and activities throughout the day to build teamwork and a positive group dynamic. Kayak Fishing Camp - Week 5 - The Greenwell Foundation
Kayak Fishing Camp is for children ages 8 – 12 (by first day of camp session). This camp combines two of the favorite activities at camp – kayaking and fishing! The week begins with a lesson on the water learning kayaking skills with a certified instructor. The campers will then have two opportunities during the week to be on the water, combining these two skills – and hopefully catch some fish! With help from a member of the Maryland Saltwater Sport fishing Association (MSSA), campers will have on-land instruction learning how to tie lures, cast a line and what fish can be found in the Chesapeake Bay watershed. Friday, the campers get to choose if they want to fish or go crabbing from the boat launch or fish from a kayak. In addition to all the fishing and kayaking, campers will also have the opportunity to do archery, field games, crafts and get wet with water games. Each afternoon, campers are provided an afternoon snack and each week a chance to make Smores. The week ends with Tye-Dye Friday for a take-home memory of the week at camp. The Details!
