Lego Mindstorm Robotics - Viewpoint School
This class is an introduction to building and programming robots using the LEGO Mindstorm NXT software and Technic building pieces. Students will be able to build LEGO models featuring working motors and sensor; program their models; and explore a series of cross-circular, theme-based activities while developing their skills is science, technology and engineering. 818-591-6597

Spring Break Techsplosion Camp MINECRAFT CHALLENGE - Dairy Knoll
Techsplosion is a hands-on STEM enrichment program in the San Francisco Bay Area. Since 2010, our passionate instructors have served over 1,500 students at over 50 bay area locations. We balance computer time with fun outdoor activities and themed games. Our Minecraft and Video Game Design camps are the most computer intensive but in all full-day programs we schedule approximately 2 hours of outdoor time per day. In addition to that, we have many non-computer activities, particularly in the camps for younger age groups like Junior Minecrafters and Minecraft Challenge. We want to inspire your kids to lead balanced and passionate lives, not turn them into potatoes. Challenge (ages 8-12): This program is designed for those that have already taken the Junior level program or are already familiar with the Minecraft game. Challenge emphasizes fun, creativity, and problem solving skills as motivation for campers to lean about video game design, video production and basic programming skills. Mariners (WAITLIST) M-F ($465 for 2 weeks, Members) - Nantucket Yacht Club
NOTE: Please only register for this session if you cannot select the dates on the Mariners M-F session you wish to have your child attend. Formerly Beginner Sailing. Please choose 2 weeks minimum. This class is taught in Rhodes 19s, Capri 14s, and Optimists. Mariners is designed to give the sailor a strong fundamental base of sailing skills such as rigging, tacking, gybing, sail trim, hiking, and some advanced boat handling. The overall goal is to make the sailor comfortable on the water in varying conditions, while eventually becoming proficient sailing alone in the Opti. Inside the Mariners class, we typically divide into three color groups: Forest Green (Novice), Lime Green (Intermediate Mariner), and Army Green(Advanced Mariner). As the child improves, they will advance through the groups until they are ready for Whalers. *Please note that the 2005 Mariner class is for those with a birthdate of 2005 or earlier. 508-228-1400

This is your chance to be challenged with projects built around creativity, design and engineering. Leonardo created and improved upon the greater mechanical wonders of the world! Inventive minds will be able to build Odometers (to measure the distance a robot has traveled), Lifting Jacks (to hold & raise heavy loads), and not to mention the inspiration for the HELICOPTER. Alice in Wonderland: Junior Musical Theatre Workshop - The Studio Around the Corner
Join us for our NEW workshop program available for ages 6-12. This 12-week program meets once a week on Fridays from 4-6:30pm beginning February 12th and the end result is a full workshop production of the tale of Alice in Wonderland! The last session of the 12 weeks is a full dress rehearsal and the performance date is Saturday, May 7th. Students experience a full production with costumes, lighting, sound & scenery. 845.444.2787
