Kids Dojo premier mountain bike programs Summer Camp A summer camp program designed to get kids riding! Well ride a variety of local mountain biking trails, and work on specific skills at a local bike pump track. Your child will learn trail safety and courtesy, how to handle different terrain, the art of cornering and managing obstacles, and much more! Bike Dojo will help your child build confidence and hone skills in a fun, safe environment. This class is appropriate for all levels (students will be grouped by ability level following the first day). Class meets at Scotts Valley Cycle Sport, 203 Mount Hermon Road. Students are dropped off at 9:00am and picked up at 4:00pm. Students will be transported via our safe and insured Dojo Bike vans to trail locations. Bikes can be provided upon request with 48 hours of first day of class ( MUST CALL BIKE DOJO AT 831-713-5475). Please bring snacks, helmets, gloves and water each day (camelbacks preferred). Kid's Summer Yoga Camp - Canby, OR
Balance and Harmony is happy to announce our first summer yoga camp for children ages 3-5. This camp will introduce your child to basic yoga poses and breathing exercises through story, songs and games. Each class will also include a creative activity that reinforces our yoga practice. Children will bring a packed snack and we will enjoy time outside at Wait Park. Taught by Sherry Wolfson. Sherry holds a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and a 200 hour Yoga Teaching Certificate. She began teaching preschool and special education over 30 years ago and has taught yoga to preschoolers at Childswork Learning Center in Portalnd for the past 3 years. Classes will be held for 5 weeks (July 1st - 29th) on Wednesdays from 1:00-4:00. Fee-$150 for all 5 days. Arcade Game Design - The Digital Arts Experience
Code your own arcade game and design your own controller that works with it! The first half of this class will involve students coding their own old school arcade style game from scratch. Think something like Spade Invaders, Galaga, Pong and more! Then, well have the students work with Arduino UNOs & breadboards and use physical programming to wire their own controller to work with the game. Finally, students will design their very own case for their controller that we will print out using our 3D Printers! Come both physical and digital programming for this interactive class where students will be able to show off their games and controllers to friends and family! **Please note**: We have Arduino UNOs & breadboards for the students to use as their controllers for the duration of the class but they will need to be returned at the end. After the first few weeks of class, however, we will offer the option to order an Arduino Starter Kit ($99) for the students so that they will be able to work on their own units and take home with them.
