Campers will get to explore different passions and projects! From launching hand-made rockets to creating sculptural masterpieces, campers will have a chance to dig into activities they?ve always wanted to try! We?re talking about going beyond your typical art projects and camp games.Campers will have the chance throughout the day to choose which projects and activities sound like the most fun. We?ll be bringing in specialists on different topics, going on adventures and making new friends. Emoji Teen Camp is created for Ages 13-18 during the school break! Join us Thursday, February 18th 1-3pm at the studio! **This is a parent drop off event! ** You may drop your child off at 1pm and pick them up at 3pm! - Cost: $30 per teen includes (2) 12x12 canvases each to create any emoji's or paintings of choice. Each child will learn paint mixing techniques, outlining, shading and much more all while meeting new friends! - Reservations: We will limit this event to 16 teens. Westlake / High School - Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church
**PLEASE NOTE: Grade level refers to rising grade level (the grade your child will enter in the fall of 2015).*** Campers spend three weeks working with a professional writer, who guides them in a number of creative pursuits: discovering new works of literature; creating poems, stories, and nonfiction; practicing the techniques of published authors; sharing work with peers; preparing work for publication; and performing work for an audience. All campers will receive a Badgerdog notebook, T-shirt, and water bottle. All campers will be published in a professionally bound anthology released in the fall. 512-542-0076

SPRING 2016: SURVIVOR FROG! Have you ever wondered how to make fire without matches, purify water, and build your own shelter? Or what you would do if you were stranded on a desert island? If so, then join Survivor Frog! We will learn to recognize and prepare edible plants, track and stalk wild animals, and make rope and baskets out of plants that grow in your neighborhood park. Our amazing Animal Ambassadors will be our guides as we gain survival skills, learn to work as a team, and explore the natural world all around us! There are no breaks during this session. Campers will spend the morning conducting science experiments, hiking, crafting, creating, observing and the afternoons learning boating skills, swimming and playing on the brand new spring lake swimming lagoon inflatable playground.
