Join us for a fun week of imagination and creative travels to sea world! Campers will create a star fish bowl and unique wall art using multiple pottery techniques including coil, pinch and slab methods. Explore a new media and create one-of-a-kind masterpieces. Campers will get to experience using a pottery wheel on the last day of camp. Materials: A separate fee of $25 is payable to the instructor on the first day of camp for art materials, clay, glazes and kiln supplies. Campers should bring a snack and water each day. TSC sends over 350 underprivileged girls (ages 6-18) from low-income and foster families to camp in Maine each summer. Unlike similar organizations, TSC brings campers back year after year. So the programming— and the community— grow with the campers. TSC also provides a literacy program to make sure that campers are reading at grade level as well as a mentorship program for “graduates." This is a great introductory experience for your pint-sized campers. Your littlest camper will get to engage in the fun and faith building of camp while under the care and supervision of our trained counselors. Embers stay Sunday afternoon through Tuesday afternoon. 360-734-7652
OZ Park Summer FD Baseball camp week 11 FULL DAY CAMPER - OZ Park
LPBA is pleased to announce that we have added a second baseball field to our summer camp program at OZ Park. The additional field at OZ Park will allow us to divide the kids by age and skill level. We will use Field #1 for boys and girls ages 5-7 and Field #2 for boys and girls ages 8-12. The camp experience includes a daily exercise and agility training routine followed by instructive drills including base running, pitching, defense, bunting, outfield play, infield play, batting practice and other hitting drills. LPBAs summer camp programs run from June 9 though August 29, 2014: Half day sessions from 9 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. - $175 per week Full day sessions from 9 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. - $250 per week Fridays are rain make up days Camp registration is on a weekly basis. EcoEngineers will investigate and discover how our planets natural power sources and renewable resources are at work right here at Bluff Lake. Daily hands-on activities, crafts, and experiments will guide campers in their exploration of solar, wind, and hydropower. Campers will use the energy from water and wind to sail hand-made boats as well as harness the power of the sun to cook a snack in a solar oven. This camp is for every kid with some energy to play and to build a strong future for themselves and the planet. All campers will learn from science experts, play learning games, make projects, meet new friends, cool off in Sand Creek and have supervised exploration time.
