Youth Angels Day Camp - 2016 - Minneapolis, MN
Science of Spirituality, Minnesota, is happy to announce Youth Angels Day Camp 2016 for children and adults. Youth Angel Day Camp is a one day Wintertime indoor Meditation Camp. It is open to children of ages between 5 and 15 and their families. All adults are welcome to join the adult workshop. This camp allows everyone to explore deep inner nature of human being as a spirit/soul. It helps children balance physical and mental learning through meditation, developing spiritual understanding of self and build foundation of being a better human being. We try to make it fun filled so children stay interested and focused while learning a subject that seems difficult. The camp will include meditation, workshops for children and adults, activities including yoga, indoor games, music and pizza. From Beginners to experienced riders, Summer Kid's Horse Camp is a fun experience teaching horse care, horse riding skills and teamwork! Use STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) to explore the important and fun Simple Machines. Apply all 6 types of simple machines in experiments with ramps, catapults, pulleys, and contraptions. Make hands on connections to what types of simple machines are found in our everyday lives. 860-535-9362
Emergency Vet Tech II - Goleta Presbyterian Church
You asked and we responded! Our newest addition…Young Physician II, brings more great projects as young campers delve further into their amazing body systems. Campers will peel back the layers and discover how these complex organs work: learn about disease, how our body fights back, the role of mucus; and digestion, from spit to…. well, you get the idea. They will uncover how the brain works through their own personal webcam, investigate the impact of food, exercise and sleep; and discover how bones and muscles are like cookies and pancakes. They will perform hands-on experiments as they learn about body temperature and fevers, take blood pressures, bandage wounds, and create herbal medicines. Campers will use a microscope, test for germs, map their organs, build a set of teeth, brain and virus models, AND take home their own MD kit. Our dynamic methods include combining a variety of child-friendly, modified equipment with traditional equipment in a mixture of fun, creative golf drills and games. Players learn and practice the four basic shots which provides an overall introduction to golf fundamentals including how to hold a golf club, proper swing posture, proper set up, aim and alignment, as well as rules and etiquette. Ages: Girls and Boys Entering Grades 7 - 10 Dates: July 5 - 8 Time: 9:00 am - 4:00 pm Format: One-week session Location: Laurels Lyman Campus in Shaker Heights Tuition: $320/session From candles to cosmetics, colorful canvases to clothing, there are many wonderful ways we use wax to beautify and enrich our lives. What is it about wax that appeals to our senses of touch, taste, sight and smell? Beeswax. Paraffin. Soy wax. Gel wax. In this camp you will learn how to work with wax as a creative medium that is as versatile as clay or metal. You will also explore how wax is made and how the very different chemical and physical properties influence what it is best used for! Campers will create their own candles, practice wax resist techniques and will even learn the age-old craft of encaustic painting (using melted wax as paint).
