This camp was created especially for paddlers who have completed our River Adventures Kayak Camp, or have strong river-running skills. Join us for five full days of exploring new waterways and wildlife-watching from a kayak! Well supply all the equipment you need (kayaks, PFDs, and paddles), just bring your lunch and your sense of adventure. On Friday, why not invite your parents to come along for the day? With summer around the corner, many parents find themselves struggling to find fun, educational activities to schedule for their children. Working parents scramble to find childcare providers who offer a safe environment while still delivering their kids some real summer fun. Smoky Mountain Sk8way & FUN ZONE has once again partnered with area teachers and specialists to offer a fun, affordable, healthy and safe summer day camp experience for kids who've finished kindergarten through sixth grade. Skate, Learn, Play is the theme. This year the summer camp has gone the extra mile to become an officially licensed camp by the State of North Carolina which allows them to accept subsidized payments from Southwestern Child Development. The Sk8way has also added a 5,000 sq ft outdoor park for the kids to play in, new games and activities and even better, most will agree, they will have nutritious breakfast and lunches provided by the Haywood County School System. We're hosting a one of a kind, crazy, never done before benefit for Cadyn Hanson (high school students only). Cadyn is going to be a Sophomore at MCHS. When Cadyn was three he was diagnosed with brain cancer. Unfortunately the cancer has returned. While most of us are taking tests, Cadyn will be fighting for his life- lets show him that he's not fighting alone. Come, bring your love and cash if you have it and help us make it rain for Cadyn. This camp is designed for the junior player ages 4-6. All classes will be taught with the new USTA 10 and under teaching style. Classes are designed to develop athleticism, hand eye coordination and movement skills in a non-competitive cooperative environment. This will be a fun introduction to tennis. Vocal Ensemble (SPRING) - Greenleaf Performing Arts Academy
Students will prepare a blend of contemporary, sacred, traditional, and popular songs as they gain experience with harmonization, sight-singing, and group performance! Strongly recommended for private voice students who would like to gain choral experience. CIT-TIME ZONE allows the group to develop their own athletic and safety skills through professional instruction with a weekly focus.
