INSTRUCTOR: CALLEN ZIMMERMAN Textiles for Teens is a gallery-based program at the Brooklyn location of the Textile Arts Center. This hands-on class explores students personal artistic interests right in the midst of our Artist in Residence studios, and will provide full access to our dye lab, screen printing facilities, sewing machines, looms, & more. Students will be able to draw inspiration from the eight resident artists and designers evolving work in fine arts, fashion design, and home textiles, and gain insight into the endless possibilities within the world of textiles. 4-H Teen Voices Retreat - New Windsor, IL
Teens ages 13 to 18 are invited to join Rock Island County 4-H for an interactive leadership retreat on Saturday, August 29 at Camp Summit in New Windsor. Teens will get to participate in team-building exercises, go zip-lining and other outdoor activities as well as give their input into ideas they would like to see for youth programs in the local community. Teens will learn ways they can use their interests and skills to develop their leadership, citizenship, presentation and organization skills by becoming in involved in the various 4-H Teen programs offered in Rock Island County.

Summer Day Camp Session 1 - Garvey-Rosenthal Soccer Stadium
Each Day Camp session will focus on skill development for the young soccer player. Campers will learn a host of different soccer skills and techniques through various exercises and games that are specifically designed for younger players. Campers are encouraged to learn and develop at their own pace under the careful guidance of the director and his expert staff. Age 7-9, Session 05 - LMSS - A
These 1 or 2 week sessions provide first time sailors aged 7-9 with the basics of sailing in a fun, safe and encouraging environment. Sailors will be using Prams, which are ideal for 2-3 sailors in 1 boat. Students will be taught the points of sail, basics of sailing upwind, downwind and between 2 points, along with sail trim, knot tying and general seamanship. Graduation takes place at the conclusion of each session, and parents are encouraged to come visit the Island and see their young sailors in action. 9524041645.0

Chicago Outlaws Boys Lacrosse Camp - Olympic Park
Learn fundamental techniques and skills necessary to be a successful lacrosse player by the Chicago Outlaws Lacrosse. Basic skills will be emphasized and range from ground balls, passing and throwing to stick skills, one-on-one skills and team format. Chicago Outlaws has a limited amount of equipment available for a $25 rental fee at the camp. (Equipment is adult sizes). All Participants will get a reversible pinny.
