Spring Mini Youth Rally and Mud Run - Kearney, NE
Please join us for our Spring Mini Youth Rally and Mud Run! Starting friday night we will have devos, activities and an evening ending campfire! Saturday morning we will have breakfast and a devo as we get ready for the Mud Run! The Mud Run starts at 10:30 AM with registration beginning at 9:45. The cost for the Mud Run is 35 and the cost for the mini youth rally is 10. Even if you dont want to participate in the Mud Run we invite you to come out to the mini youth rally and help us cheer on those that are! All proceeds go towards our general scholarship program! The Elephants Child - The Georgetown Palace Theatre
Children the whole world round have delighted to the telling and re-telling of Rudyard Kiplings beloved story of how the Elephants child got his trunk. This charming musical adaptation perserves much of Kiplings clever text with its fascinating word rhythms and oral imagery, while five original songs capture the mystery and humor of Elephants childs exciting adventure down the "Great Grey-Green Greasy limpopo River". Costumes, dance, and wonderful dialogue mixed with the these great songs will give our youngest actors a spectacular time creating a mini-musical for family and friends while learning how to work as a team. Minecraft 3D Supreme – Ages 8+ - Goleta Presbyterian Church
Not for beginners! This camp is for campers who have been playing Minecraft. Minecraft™ has taken the world by storm with its block-building, digital game design that allows players to build, explore, create, collaborate, and even survive. With no set rules, you can build anything you can possibly imagine. During this 4-day adventure, campers will learn different modes of playing. They will use cool mods as they escape monsters, build amazing structures, create maps, mine the world under their feet, climb the tallest mountains, and utilize robotic turtles to manipulate the vast world around them. They will learn real coding techniques to program their turtles to accomplish tasks while working as a team with other campers to unleash their creativity! Campers take on the real-world jobs of programmer, game designer, artist, and architect. NO Minecraft account is needed for THIS CAMP as we have licenses ready for use. Just come and learn the basics, as well as advanced techniques and new strategies of this great game! However, to play at home, you will need a Minecraft account. Summer Camp Sacred Artist - Skyliner Lodge
Wildheart Sacred Artists know their nature both within and without. Newborns arrive into this world with a purity and clarity so intense that it is near impossible not to fall into some divine joy when looking into their eyes. As they grow older, this clarity begins to fade as they develop a healthy sense of who they are and begin to define the world they are perceiving. At Wildheart, there is nothing more important to us than returning the power and clarity to childrens eyes. Nature is the perfect setting for inviting kids to return to their inner truths. In this centering and empowering week of camp we will be exploring mindfulness, meditation, dance, sacred art, earth skills, music, compassion, and Earth-based ceremonies. Children will come away with practice choosing kindness over anger, peace over anxiety, and love over fear. They will also come away with a unique altar cloth dyed using local plants and leaf prints. Second year students also receive a surprise item for their altar that represents a positive quality they have offered to the camp.
