WEEK 8: Ages 4-8: MARINE BIOLOGY AND OCEANOGRAPHY - SciTech Kids
Marine biology is the study of marine organisms in the ocean. Kids will learn what lurks in various bodies of water. First, they will use a probe to study the water in Central Park and collect water sample to identify species in their habitat. Students will visit a marine habitat to enjoy the oceans beauty. They will also build and deploy a ROV (remotely operated vehicle) to study deeper water in New York City to see how exploration is done. In addition, kids will learn about climate change and its impact on the environment. Lunch and snacks are included. 212-804-7055
Youth Basketball Camp-Session 2 - Summit On The Park
Fee $145M/$150R/$160NR M-F 9am-2pm Camp will emphasize drills and skills that cover offensive strategies and defensive plays in game situations. The morning spent on drills and fundamentals, and the afternoon applying these to "GAME ON" scrimmage situations. Pat Watson brings experience, fun and a winning formula for success. The camp includes instruction and t-shirt. Participants should bring water bottle and sack lunch. Campers may arrive at 8:00 am for pre-camp shoot around. Rec Sports Summer Fun Camp: Day camp with an emphasis on traditional sports games and outdoor recreation activities including individual sports, team sports, hiking, kayaking, and camping skills. * All camps run from 9am-1pm and are geared for children ages 5 through 10. (Children can be dropped off for camp as early as 8:45am and must be picked up no later than 1:45pm) * All summer camps start the day with 50 minutes of swim lessons led by the Rec Sports Learn to Swim Instructors. * Bring a healthy lunch and we provide a healthy snack * Camp fees: $70 members/$90 non-members (the minimum for a camp to make is 8 participants and the maximum is 35 participants) [] LOCATION PHE Jones Gym at PHE
Shooting, Scoring, & Conditioning Camp - Manchester Ice Arena
Shooting, Scoring, & Conditioning Camp The full spectrum of the RMHS developed stickhandling progression from basic dribbling to advanced puck control concepts such as puck protection and creating space will be the foundation for this camp. Also covered in depth during the stickhandling portion will be passing lanes, vision, play away from the puck, support, and the proper execution of advanced fakes and dekes. All conditioning drills will be based on the European Training Method of incorporating pucks into all skating drills to ensure proper puck control skill and habit development. Fundamental knowledge of how to properly train ones body for athletic competition will be discussed, stressing proper work to rest ratios, hydration, and optimal physical conditioning. Advanced powerskating drills will also be included, focusing on speed and power development while conditioning. ATTENTION GOALTENDERS - Every RMHS camp will offer professional goaltending instruction from one of our professional goaltending coaches. We limit theses spots to four goaltenders per group. ****Schedules subject to change due to registration levels up to one week before the first day of camp 8778487647.0
