Robotics Adventures – (5th Grade) Students will build a Robot using Mindstorms robotics equipment. Students will then learn how to program and manipulate the Robot with coding on a laptop. There is a limit to 16 children for the class. The curriculum for the Robotics Club is different for each quarter, allowing for new material to be added per quarter. But the different curriculum also allows for new students to join in without having had previous Robotics experience. Students do not need to bring anything to the Club. Tile-Top End Table Weeklong Teen Camp - Albany, NY
The Pottery Place has had quality art camps forover 10 years. All camps are taught by an experienced art instructor. Boys and girls alike are welcome to join us! All camps are small in size so we can give each child personalized attention. We always encourage campers to explore and express their own artistic style. Year after year we have gotten rave reviews from kids and aduts! This Years Teen Camp is something so different we are so excited about it! Your teen can make their very own end table! We will create a design and paint 25 tiles which will then be attached to the table and grouted. Who doesnt want an end table made by their own hands. Tween/teen Yoga Camp - Camp Hill, PA
The focus for this program is to inspire and empower tweens and teens and to establish a deeper sense of self respect and self discipline so they can live a more balanced and fulfilled life. We will empower tweens/teens through journaling, breathing practices, meditation, aerial yoga and mat yoga. We'll have fun and learn to trust others and ourselves through partner yoga poses. Though drop in students are welcome, we encourage participants to enroll in the the entire four week program because each week we will build upon the lessons of the previous week. Camp runs 5-6:15pm on Tuesday, July 19 and 26th, August 9 and 16. Please note there is a break the week of August 2. A minimum of 4 students is required to run the program, so please register early! A refund will be given if the minimum number of participants is not met. There will be a maximum of 8 participants, based on the number of aerial yoga hammocks, so pre-registration is required. NO CLASS JULY 4. Stop thinking, start doing! The fun and games of improv teach awareness, trust and going with your gut. Learning to create scenes that everyone will swear came from a script. Discover how easy it is to find the funny. No memorization, no rehearsals, no mistakes - just bring your desire to have a good time. INSTRUCTOR BIO: KEELY KIRK stepped into the improv abyss at a tender age and found a place to be herself. She began training with Mental Floss, a Miami-based improv/sketch troupe which performed at the Coconut Grove Playhouse until Hurricane Andrew blew it all away. She went on to be a principal performer for over ten years with Laughing Gas Comedy Improv --Miamis longest-running improv theatre company. She then decided that Miami was just too warm and balmy and moved to Chicago (the improv epicenter), where she was involved with and trained with IO (formally Improv Olympics) and Second City. While in Chicago, Keely decided to follow President Obama to Washington D.C., to become his presidential jester; however, due to government cutbacks, she was furloughed.
