Kid's Summer Yoga Camp - Canby, OR
Balance and Harmony is happy to announce our first summer yoga camp for children ages 3-5. This camp will introduce your child to basic yoga poses and breathing exercises through story, songs and games. Each class will also include a creative activity that reinforces our yoga practice. Children will bring a packed snack and we will enjoy time outside at Wait Park. Taught by Sherry Wolfson. Sherry holds a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and a 200 hour Yoga Teaching Certificate. She began teaching preschool and special education over 30 years ago and has taught yoga to preschoolers at Childswork Learning Center in Portalnd for the past 3 years. Weekly High School Pitching Camp 2 - Kennesaw State University (Stillwell Stadium)
The Owls Baseball Camp Staff is happy to announce a weekly pitching camp this Fall/Winter. This camp will be ran exclusively by Assistant Coach Trey Fowler and is open to any high school age player looking to take his Pitching to the next level. The 4 week program will be structured to ensure that each player learns more about the most important aspects of pitching including visual focus, mechanical efficiency, and how to attack/read hitters. A throwing program will be implemented to increase arm speed and strength along with drills for efficiency, bullpens, and video analysis to ensure that each player exits the 4 week program a better and more confident pitcher. All sessions will be limited to a max of 4 players in order to assure each receives the individual attention and reps to reach the goals of the program. The Dates for the Camp include Sept 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th. Summer Strength and Speed Training Girls - 9th-12th grades - Wichita Collegiate School
Instructor: Black All classes will be taught in the state of the art Lattner Center located on the west side of the Upper School. Some sessions will take place on the turf or track at Spartan Stadium located just to the east of the Beren Middle School. The summer staff of Troy Black, Mike Gehrer, Destiny Clark, Cam Clark, and other staff as needed have many years of proven experience and knowledge. The curriculum and techniques like the training center are state of the art and are presented in a positive uplifting environment. Each session has a curriculum molded to the skill sets and abilities of the students. Strength and Speed - For the 6th year, we will be offering a class that is designed for the female athlete. Female athletes need to work on their strength and speed just like the males. The focus of the program will be on developing overall body strength, learning proper lifting technique, improved jumping ability, agility, speed improvement, and core strength. Camp Yakety Yak (CYY) is a 501c3 organization that was created in 2010 to help children with special needs (e.g., Autism, ADHD, Intellectual Disability) grow socially and emotionally by improving their communication skills.
