Youth Athletic Development Camp - Downers Grove, IL
The Coaches at Functional Effect are excited to announce registration has officially opened, and a limited number of spots are available, for our Youth Athletic Development Camps. 2 Camps Available! *Ages 8-12 - start 6/14 *Ages 13-18 - start 6/13 Our athletic development camps are designed to help your student-athlete build skills to help them both on and off the court. Our 8-12 group will have an emphasis on basic movement pattern development, and SAQ (speed, agility, quickness) Training, while the 13-18 group will also dive into proper lifting technique and strength and explosive power development. Both groups will also receive education on how to maximize their results during camp through good nutiriton! All proceeds support Hudson Guild’s free summer camp for kids in need. $50 in advance (through June 2), $60 at the door Hudson Guild is a community-based social services organization rooted in and primarily focused in Chelsea. Each year, Hudson Guild provides a wide range of services, from early childhood education to programs for seniors, including PreK, afterschool, teen services, mental health care, and both visual and performing arts – for over 14,000 underprivileged members of our community. Hudson Guild provides a stable “home away from home” for learning and development, and a safety net for people in economic distress.

Allendale Camp Group A 1st week Jun 27 - Jul 1 - Allendale Park
This activity may not be registered for individually because it is part of a package.Allendale Park Camp is a traditional, high-quality, fun program. Campers spend at least two hours daily doing physical fitness activities like dance routines, group games, fitness competitions, sports and swimming. Specialized instruction is offered in tennis and golf. Campers are escorted across the street to Blairs pool for recreational swim three times per week. Staff go into the water with campers and certified lifeguards are always present. Field trips are often the highlight of the week. Past excursions include trips to area amusement parks, local movie theaters and arcades. This camp is a good fit for active campers who like socializing, sports and play. Ratio of staff to campers is 1 to 10. Lunch and a snack are included. Campers are grouped by age and are asked to wear sturdy, closed-toe athletic shoes, sunscreen and hats. Sandals for the pool area and swimming suits are required. Camp is based out of Allendale Park and the park, onsite library and the Blair pool.
