The goal of the Teen Life Skills Camp is to prepare the youth for adulthood by teaching and building upon their life skills. They will spend two days in a warm and nurturing environment learning principles of manhood, woman hood, interpersonal communication skills, problem solving skills, team work, collaboration and culture competence. This event will start off at Deliverance Tabernacle Christian Center and then the learning environment will shift to Oak Grove Park on Naval Air Station Pensacola. During the course of the 3 day, 2 night camp, they will be apart of discussions: (the young men)the role and purpose of a man, leadership, teach them how to tie a neck tie and they will receive a tie. For the young ladies they will participate in a body image workshop that will include self image, hygiene and self respect. For more information and registration, please see the attached flyer.

This camp will focus on overhead setting, or taking the second ball with your hands. This is a skill everyone should learn. One of Shakespeares most famous tales comes to life in this special adaptation of "A Midsummer Nights Dream" designed especially for tweens! This show takes the fear out of Shakespeare, bringing the characters vividly to life with abounding comedy and an outstanding musical score. The basic story remains intact, but is updated with modern vocabulary and music to make it accessible for everyone. This show has many speaking (and singing) roles to introduce students to your favorite characters. From the "rude mechanicals" Quince and Bottom and all the rest to the two sets of "lovers" that prove nothing has changed when it comes to teens having a "crush" on each other, to the wonderful fairy King and Queen with the energetic and mischievous Puck, there is a part for everyone!
