• Beginner level • Technique focus • Instructors: Jennie Godfrey • Class length: 1 hour • Semester Long • Class cost: $365 (plus $25 registration fee) For students with little to no previous musical theatre experience and who have already begun elementary school. Students will learn basic choreography, vocal performance, and stage presence skills. This class also prepares aspiring performers for the expectations of becoming young, professional actors, and they will rehearse for and perform a song and scene from the Broadway musical, "Matilda." 817-321-5040

I used to go to this camp as a kid and now that I have my own daughter, I sent here to this camp as well. My sister, whom also attending this camp as a kid, pulled her kids out of this camp last year, stating that there was a lot of bullying and picking on kids and no accountability for this type of behavior. We have felt the detrimental impact of state sanctioned violence, which has led to too many of our children, parents, friends, family and community members behind bars. CJNY member organizations continue to do the critical organizing and advocacy work to resist the structural racism within our justice and education systems.
