Teen Adventure Camp - undefined, NC
In this program, designed exclusively for teenagers, students will develop a new sense of confidence and empowering self-reliance as they explore nature, ancient skills, and the lore of the Native Americans. Wilderness Survival Skills are the core of this program. Students will learn numerous outdoor skills, such as Primitive fire-making, shelter building, safe water purification and how to identify wild edible and medicinal plants. From here we'll expand outward and introduce your teenagers to variety of nature awareness exercises. These lessons will engage and enhance all of their senses and heighten their level of Awareness for their entire lives. Teens will come away with a true understanding and respect for nature and life in this great program.

UCALs Full Day Camps are similar to our Summer Camp days: three art classes in mixed-grade groups ( K-3 & 4-8) in a variety of media and genres, outdoor recess ( weather permitting) and indoor free play, with lunch and snack provided. Drop-off starts at 8 am, with the first art class at 9am. Options include a day until 3 pm or 6pm. Important Notice from UCAL: At the end of your registration process through the Active system, you will be offered a 30-day free trial of something called the Active Advantage program. You do NOT need to register with Active Advantage to receive member discounts for UCAL programs ,and we do not recommend signing up for it. At the end of the 30-day trial your credit card will be charged an annual fee of $64.95. To avoid being unnecessarily charged, please do NOT register for the Active Advantage program. 215-382-7811

KidzArt helps students develop skills that enhance other areas of academics and personal expression. The younger we can begin a students creative journey, the better! The ‘language of art begins with the recognition of lines and shapes. We show preschoolers how these lines and shapes can fit together to create a complete whole. Much of DISCOVER! centers around teaching our preschoolers to slow down and relax, to focus, and to see how the world around them is put together. KidzArt drawing lessons focus on process. Students use markers and quality drawing paper with basic introduction to properly using other media such as chalk and oil pastel. All media is non-toxic. Location: Upstairs in the chapel. The Tee it Up Program is for never-ever golfers or those with little to no swing experience. Introduce your child to the game of golf in a low-stress environment. No clubs necessary or prior golf experience necessary. Tee it Up is held on a weekly basis for 1 hour at both SWG locations. We recommend at least four (4) Tee It Up Classes before an evaluation for our Medalist Program. YOU MAY SELECT YOUR ACTUAL CLASSES FROM THE SCHEDULE STARTING MARCH 1. CLASSES ARE HELD AT TPC ON SATURDAYS FROM 9-10AM AND AT TUNXIS ON SATURDAYS FROM 2-3PM. Make fun, quirky creatures out of unwanted socks. Learn how to follow a pattern from beginning to end; to cut, sew, and stuff new creations. Transforming something old into something new, students will learn various sewing techniques including how to sew on a button. Instructor: Julie Namack 212-712-6230
