Ski Trip Male Participants 2016 - Camp Paivika
Adult campers between the ages of 18 and 99 with physical and/or developmental disabilities. 2 nights. Personal Care: Participants must be independent with their personal care needs. Individuals who require more than minor assistance with bathing, dressing, feeding and other personal care will not be accepted. Individuals requiring medical care other than the administration of medications will not be accepted. There will not be a nurse in attendance- medications will be managed by trained camp staff. Behavioral Challenges: Individuals with severe behavioral issues including acting out, inability to remain with the group, self-injurious/assaultive behaviors or aggressive tendencies will not be accepted. Campers will be assisted in ski activities and/or camping activities but must be interested and willing to participate in order to attend either of these programs. Staffing Ratios: Participants must be able to function safely in a group environment. Staff to camper ratios will be 1 to 5 during most times of the day. AKAs Lacrosse and Soccer Week combines two of the countrys most popular youth sports. Lacrosse Camp teaches kids the basics of the fastest growing sport in Minnesota through series of drills and games.
