Ski Trip Male Participants 2016 - Camp Paivika
Adult campers between the ages of 18 and 99 with physical and/or developmental disabilities. 2 nights. Personal Care: Participants must be independent with their personal care needs. Individuals who require more than minor assistance with bathing, dressing, feeding and other personal care will not be accepted. Individuals requiring medical care other than the administration of medications will not be accepted. There will not be a nurse in attendance- medications will be managed by trained camp staff. Behavioral Challenges: Individuals with severe behavioral issues including acting out, inability to remain with the group, self-injurious/assaultive behaviors or aggressive tendencies will not be accepted. Campers will be assisted in ski activities and/or camping activities but must be interested and willing to participate in order to attend either of these programs. Staffing Ratios: Participants must be able to function safely in a group environment. Staff to camper ratios will be 1 to 5 during most times of the day. AKAs Lacrosse and Soccer Week combines two of the countrys most popular youth sports. Lacrosse Camp teaches kids the basics of the fastest growing sport in Minnesota through series of drills and games. This is a very recreational Lacrosse camp that features professional coaching for both the boys and girls styles of the game. Throughout Soccer Camp, kids will receive professional World Class soccer instruction and plenty of games and competition for the worlds most popular sport thanks to our professional AKA Soccer Staff! Of course, kids get a chance to play a multitude of sports as well as the feature sports throughout the day including basketball, soccer, dodgeball, kickball, even some ice time. This weeks welders will work in the spirit of Claes Oldenburg, an American artist made famous for creating giant public art pieces of oversized everyday objects: a giant eraser, a tube of lip stick, a hand saw.
