Thank you so much for supporting Camp Common Ground's effort to get our youth leaders in Oakland to camp! Your attendance and participation at the launch of our second fundraiser will be imperative to ensuring that our youth from diverse racial and economic backgrounds can stand together this summer to break down barriers that exist between their communities. Come hungry and ready to drink, and don't forget your laptops, smartphones, tablets, etc. that we will use to get the word out about the fundraiser to all of our networks! What's the impact we will make in one day? The fundraiser will last for the entire month of March. During last month's fundraiser, Camp Common Ground supporters exceeded the fundraising goal of $4800. The $5400 raised will bring 4 Oakland youth to camp. During this fundraiser, we will raise $13,200, which will bring 16 more Oakland youth to camp--6 more on full scholarships and 10 on partial scholarships. Looking forward to seeing you there!

Baseball - Pre Tryout Camp - Onalaska High School
Havent picked up a ball or bat yet to get ready for the baseball season? Heres your opportunity to get started. Onalaska High School Head Varsity Baseball coach, Larry Swiggum, and his players will run this pre - tryout camp. The camp will help players get ready for the upcoming park and rec summer baseball tryouts. Throwing, fielding, hitting, and pitching are some of the skills to be covered. Pre-registration is required!! Camp Dates and Times: Wednesday, April 6 - 6:00-8:00pm and Saturday, April 9 - 4:00-6:30pm Location: Onalaska High School Varsity Baseball Field, Off of Riders Club Rd (may be moved into Onalaska High School Fieldhouse if weather is bad). This is our History 2 week. This week we will be moving around the Bay Area taking daily field trips while using public transportation to navigate our way. The week will be comprised of the schedule below*. Day 1: Fort Point/City Hall Day 2: Wells Fargo Museum/Cable Car Museum Day 3: SF Dungeon/Wax museum and Boudin Bread Factory Tour Day 4: Angel Island/US Immigration Station/China Town back alley tour Day 5: USS Pampanito/ SS Jeremiah OBrien (Days may not be in the specific order above) We meet at Rockridge BART station every morning at 8 AM then travel the city to our destination or destinations.
