I have been invited to be the Lead Speaker at this Year’s Youth Leadership Camp being held by The Christ United Methodist Church and Mississippi Families for Kids on the June 27, 2016 starting at 9:30 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. I am so honored that I have have been asked and I look forward to Empowering our Leaders of Tomorrow with the Encouraging of Words of God. In addition, to utilizing my life experiences, professional knowledge and expertise to inform participants of what is necessary to achieve their goals and how to become successful adults. It is my desire that youth will be able to reach inside of themselves to identify those strengths that will be the driving forces for their futures. So, on June 27, 2016 come out and help us..... Empower our Youth.... I do hope to see you there.
Scavenger Hunt In Benefit Of Semper Fi Fund- Kids Camp - Jacksonville,
Ride (motorcycle) or drive (car), to Dukenfields, and register for a fun filled day of scavenging the Jacksonville area for different items at different locations in benefit of Semper Fi Fund- Kids Camp. There will be prizes, raffles, DJ and yes a pig pickin' spread of food. MIDDLE SCHOOL ART CAMP: Grade 8/Session 1 Students entering grades 6-8 will be immersed in a variety of studio art experiences in drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, mixed media and metalsmithing. The camp faculty of professional artists and art educators develop fun & innovative lessons that are appropriate for all students. Parents are asked to provide lunch, snack and a beverage for their children. A reception and art exhibition is held on the last Friday of camp. Get Ready for Algebra! MODULE 1 - Orchard Hills School
Bungee jumping, stacking cups, racing toy cars, and basketball shots are a few of the many hands-on activities students will engage in as they explore algebraic functions and mathematical modeling. Students will gain understanding of core algebraic concepts in order to be successful and to lay a core foundation for success in Algebra. 714-832-6299
Level 1 & 2 Mountain Bike - Ute Valley Park @ Pinon Valley
This camp is for kids with Level 1 and Level 2 mountain biking skills. Kids will break into two groups after the first day of camp based on age/ability. LEVEL 1 After a kid has become confident riding a bicycle on two wheels, with the ability to steer and brake the bike appropriately, we move into more skill development of bicycle handling, overall confidence, and building up young mountain biking ambassadors. We teach appropriate trail and group riding etiquette and build on the childs ability to brake, steer, and handle the bicycle on gravel both uphill and downhill. LEVEL 2 This level becomes the difference between a ‘beginner and an ‘intermediate mountain biker. Though age is not the determining factor, kids are usually at least 7 years old and have been riding a bicycle confidently for a couple years. With level 2 comes more substantial mountain biking with drills specific to handling a bicycle on singletrack. Capacity for riding grows to longer consecutive riding stretches, maintaining energy and enthusiasm for riding, and the ability to show multiple riding skills naturally. This camp will prepare teenage girls for middle and high school level volleyball. The camp will feature age- appropriate conditioning and training to prepare individuals both physically and mentally, for the next level of athletic competition.
