While some of these programs do provide valuable advice, most of them are filled with poor choices that, if followed, will get you injured or killed in a real emergency. Without proper training, separating the fact from fiction can be a difficult task. Our primary focus this week is to teach participants the practical skills that will save them in a true emergency. While a number of Traditional Skills will be introduced, our goal this week is to provide participants with a pragmatic skill set. For instance, spending five hours building a lean-to when it gets dark in 20 minutes is not a practical choice. Trying to build a bow-drill fire kit from scratch without a knife and without properly seasoned wood in the damp environment of the Pacific Northwest is rarely practical. Although those types of skills will be demonstrated, we will challenge you to perfect the basics first – like carrying a small fire steel and a couple of cotton balls...

Ladies Golf Clinic - Get Golf Ready-Wenesdays (6pm-7:30pm) - Indian Hill Country Club
Are you ready for some fun? Get Golf Ready is a fun and affordable golf instruction program for people with little or no golf experience. The Get Golf Ready program is a series of five introductory lessons conducted by PGA/LPGA Professionals in a small-group environment. In this program, we provide a relaxed atmosphere with no pressure. Its a great way to be introduced to the game and become comfortable on the golf course. We will provide you with all the equipment necessary for each session, so there is no further investment for this adventure! If you have ANY questions, no matter how big or small, please call us. JR Elite Camp: For advanced players (boys/girls) aged 10-14. Sessions will focus on advanced technical topics, small-sided and large group tactics. Sprouts Week 10 - Terra Firma Farm
This camp is designed for our 3, 4, & 5 year old sprouting farmers. Children will be involved in animal care activities, meeting the new farm arrivals, nature walks, and simple farm cooking activites. These day camps are offered to teach responsibility and kindness for the farm, each other and our environment. Each day is planned for our Sprouting Farmers and offers an excellent hands-on opportunity for exploration and growth. Note: This camp runs Monday- Friday from 9-noon 860-535-8171

Extended Day - The Mandell School
Students will have the opportunity for quiet study time to accomplish some of their homework projects, explore and interact with our computer lab, read books from our extensive library and play on the beautiful terrace.
