Do you like to be active? Do you want to be more active? Are you looking for an alternative to an organized sport, but still want to be part of a team? Are you interested in keeping in shape for a fall sport? Most of all, do you want to have fun? Then this high-energy boot camp is for you! If, that is, you have the right attitude. -- This boot camp is designed specifically for developing young bodies and minds, with a fun (and safe) mixture of body weight exercises, running and cardio, partner and group exercises, games and obstacle courses. All movements will help build coordination, balance, and motivation. Stretching before and after exercise is emphasized, and mindfulness and yoga techniques will be integrated each day. (And did we mention the music?) -- All participants need is a good pair of tennis shoes, comfortable workout clothes, a water bottle, and a positive attitude! No other equipment necessary. Get ready for Trinity Youth's 18th annual High School Winter Camp! This weekend will be filled with good food, great friends, and whole lot of fun. Our goals for this camp are: To build strong student-leader relationships To build strong peer relationships To meet students right where they are—helping them take that next step in knowing Jesus better. Oh, and there is also possibility of having a lot of fun, too! Students and leaders will be leaving from Trinity at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, February 19th (dinner not provided). Children will be expressing their emotions and creativity through art, it will build their confidence and focus through chess and yoga, and children will be relaxing, moving and growing while building flexibility through dance. Students will learn the art of putting imagery in motion as they explore a variety of techniques, including traditional stop-animation, claymation, hand-drawn animation, digital film and computer graphics like titling and film effects. Our distribution point will be digital with an emphasis on showing completed stories to a collected audience of family and friends. Students are encouraged to explore creativity in storytelling with a variety of media, such as clay, photos, natural materials and groups of actors. We will work with equipment on hand, such as iPhones, iPads, digital cameras and laptops. Daily demos and exercises educate young storytellers in technique, theory and history of the motion media.
