Room: B-7 Instructor: Sabine Kroeber Students learn typing skills using an online keyboarding program. Emphasis will be on teaching desirable keyboarding techniques, mastery of the keyboard and development of speed and accuracy. We will also practice how to apply keyboarding skills in real life situations: Typing and formatting in Word, creating word art in Wordle, and putting together a simple PowerPoint presentation. We will tour the keyboard and learn about lesser known keys like the tilde and carat on a keyboard treasure hunt! Returning students can continue to build their speed, while new students can lay the foundation for great typing success. General Information/Standard of Conduct -Arrival: Camp check in will begin at 12:00 PM on Monday afternoon. Flippin' Fall Fest Girls Competitive Gymnastics Camp - Fargo, ND
Flippin' Fall Fest is geared towards girl competitive gymnasts of all levels, and features small group sizes to facilitate focused, intense, and personalized training. The camp curriculum features two daily workouts totaling approximately 9 hours. The workouts are designed for systematic progression according to individual ability. Campers spend the sessions attending workouts at TNT Kid's Fitness & Gymnastics. COST: $175 - includes snack and leotard. PAYMENT: $75 deposit due when registering. Full camp payment is due October 21 at check in. REFUND POLICY: The camp fee is non- refundable after September 23, without a physician’s statement. Any refunds given with a physician's statement will be subject to a cancellation fee of $75 of the registration fee to cover expenses already incurred. Be A Civil War Soldier: KID’S CAMP - Mansfield, LA
Have you ever wanted to be a Civil War soldier? Are you between 9-12 years old? On Saturday 24th, in connection with National Public Lands Day, Mansfield State Historic Site is hosting an “immersive” event that will allow you to experience what many of the soldiers of the American Civil War did. Be enlisted, set up your camp, drill, enjoy a period type lunch, and more! There are 15 slots available for this program and pre-registration is required. Registration is $25 (paid on day of program) for each child, which includes the meal. The last day for Pre-Registration is September 17th. 10th 2016 Camp Buckaroo WINTER BREAK 3 Day Camp - Blue Point Stables
This Camp is a 3 (Three) Day Buckaroo Winter Break Day Camp. Camp begins each day at 9:00 EST and ends at 4:00 pm in the afternoon. Campers will be assigned a horse to ride and to care for. In the larger enrollment classes, campers share assigned horses. Activities that the campers will be involved with are... Riding Lessons (generally twice a day, weather permitting) Grooming, Stall Care & Management, Equine Characteristics, Arts and Crafts and Horse Husbandry including some Horse Health and Welfare. Plus, making friends or renewing relationships with new and returning campers alike. Campers have the option to purchase and challenge the test for a CHA riding level. Campers receive the appropriate CHA Riding Level Book. Successful campers are awarded the appropriate Certificate, Patch and Pin. Campers falling below the testing standards are allowed to retest once for no additional charge. Day campers will need to bring appropriate clothing for each day, to include layered warm clothing + GLOVES on cold days and rain gear when needed, as well as, their lunches, snacks and drinks for each day. Beyond Your Best Books - Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory School
This session will allow kids to convert their favorite stories into keepsake crafts using the process of upcycling. This experience will teach the importance of repurposing through creativity while encouraging conversations about the value and importance of literature in our lives. Participants will create several items from old books chosen for this purpose. While creating these items, we will discuss their favorite stories, the most fascinating characters, and why books and upcycling are important. *Participants will need to bring 3 hardback books of their choice; books that are in disrepair or those which would otherwise be recycled are recommended. Our training sessions are creative and geared toward maintaining a fun yet challenging and competitive atmosphere. We understand that athletes need to not only be pushed to their limits, but they must enjoy what they are doing if they are to truly benefit from it. The program utilizes a combination of speed, acceleration, and agility drills coupled with power and strength exercises in a structured and controlled environment. These young athletes will learn and sharpen their skills in the mechanics of running, agility, and footwork, while being introduced to various pieces of speed and agility training equipment throughout the facility. Low-intensity strength training is emphasized with exercises involving the athletes own body weight, and power is developed through the application of plyometrics.
