DISCOVERY CAMP began in 1989 as an age appropriate summer camp program for both children and teenagers. It has become the largest full-gospel camp in America reaching over 20,000 each summer. Their home and ministry headquarters is Country Camp in Columbus, Texas where gathering churches, loving pastors and networking leaders have earned them international respect. Their children, Andrew, Peter, and Abby are also involved in ministry. Discovery Camp's resides on a a 1,088-acre Christian retreat center and ministry headquarters located in Columbus, Texas. The campus includes housing for 1100 campers, full recreational facilities and summer resident quarters for over 200 staff employees, interns, and ministry families. Three waterslides, go-carts, horses and age appropriate activities will remind your group just how much fun it is to be a Christian. Teen Camp Service Project - Beautify Chinatown! - undefined, undefined
It's that time of year again!This is the first in our series of Teen Camp service projects for those of you who may need financial assistance in order to go to camp. You must complete this project if you're going to need a half or full scholarship. Don't know if you need a scholarship? Well, even if you have an inkling that you might need one, you should be there. But this project is also open to all, so if you just want to help out, join us! The project will involve cleaning out and sprucing up the public planters along Wentworth Avenue and Cermak Road in Chinatown. The project will begin at 9 AM and end around 1 PM.
