Unfortunately, parents dont get Spring Break like kids do, so we are now offering a safe and fun place for your child(ren) from 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. on March 21st-25th! Daily field trips, fun activities and sports opportunities will keep your child busy. Each day will center around a different theme. Two locations available. Boating: Basic Sailing Camp - Lake Merritt Boating Center
Piedmont Recreation is proud to partner with the City of Oakland Lake Merritt Boating Center. Piedmont Recreation offers transportation to and from these camps. The Basic Sailing Camp requires a swim evaluation that can be arranged through the Piedmont Community Pool at (510) 655-5163. SWIM EVALUATION IS REQUIRED. This entry level sailing class will definitely give kids a chance to get their "sea legs". The campers start off learning the parts of the sailboat and by weeks end theyll understand wind direction as it relates to propelling, and more importantly, controlling their sailboat. Games and drills on the water help to teach these basic skills. No experience is needed. If your child does not have a swim evaluation verification on file, a swim evaluation will have to be completed before the first day of camp. Week 4 Resident Camp - Rose Lake Youth Camp
This overnight camp is for ages 7-13 and runs Sunday night through Friday at 4:30 p.m. It is a summer favorite featuring outdoor activities, hiking, camping and cooking outdoors. Learn to skillfully fly a remote controlled helicopter drone, then race the clock in our drone obstacle course. Take your drone home to enjoy after camp! The BSSC ID Camp at GSU is intended for prospective student athletes who have the desire to play soccer at the collegiate level and beyond. Training sessions will be conducted by collegiate coaches with the purpose of replicating an everyday college training session. Enrollment will be limited and accepted on a first-served basis.
