No previous training needed. Often called ?the physical game of chess? and ?the noble sport?, fencing requires mental strength and quickness, and improves coordination, balance, speed and grace. Campers use the Foil (a light training sword) and are introduced to Sabre (the modern equivalent of the cavalry sword) and Epee (the modern equivalent of the dueling sword). Safety tipped swords, protective jackets, masks, and gloves make fencing one of the safest sports. Great Family Camp
My girls love Camp Wayfarer and we go every year. It is an action packed camp for both girls and boys. They really cater to families, too. My girls really love the dance activities, but they also learned a lot in the environmental and marine biology portions. They rode horses, learned a lot about the performing arts, they learned tennis this year and next year they want to get more into golf. School is out and Charly Cardboard is coming! This class will give the vision and skills to get students to begin the creative process of using something as simple as leftover cardboard into something artistic and maybe even practical. In two days - 4 hours per day - students will get hands on instruction and come out with a completed project like the one below. Lot's of fun. Visual artist and film maker David Wilson in collaboration with Actors Point Theatre Company will conduct this amazing class. Limited space available. The Stanford Golf Camp, now in its 28th year, is one of the longest-running junior golf camps in the country. The camp is open to boys and girls ages 5-17 of all skill levels. We feature daily instruction at the Stanford Varsity Practice Facility covering every aspect of the game. Putting, chipping, pitching, sand shots, full swing, course management, rules, etiquette and club fitting are all covered.
