The best option for a 15 year old boy who enjoys playing basketball is a sports camp. There are multiple options across United States. Some sports camps offer a 9-5 program and are usually located in urban areas. Most cities have day camps that specialize in sports. He will be able to select basketball as his major area of concentration, while enjoying other recreational activities. You may also elect to send him to a residential camp. He would spend several weeks with his peers, perfecting his basketball skills, while being outdoors, swimming and enjoying nature hikes and camp fires....

CAP Kid Camp Malibu - Calabasas, CA
We will stay at Gilmore Camp, in Malibu Creek State Park. This camp is a part of the Salvation's Army Mt. Crags & Gilmore Camp & Conference Center in Calabasas http://campmtcrags.com. Located in the heart of Malibu Canyon, this camp provides life changing experiences with various activities on site in the beautiful Santa Monica Mountains. We are of course also just a short car ride away from the world famous Malibu beaches! We are 1 hr North of LAX, 2.5hr from San Diego, 5.5 hr drive from SF or Sacramento and 7.5 hrs from Reno. SURGE YOUTH CAMP - Mount Vernon, GA
Grades 7th-12th This camp is an overnight camp at Brewton Parker College. Campers will be in small groups with friends and participate in mission projects and team building activities together throughout the week. Go here to print registration form: http://bit.ly/2575Ofc Total Cost: $165.00 and includes 4 nights, 11 meals, t-shirt, tote bag, a drawing for a Fire Tablet, and other items throughout the week. Fee to be paid in full at time of registration or you may pay an $80.00 nonrefundable deposit, and the rest on July 18th. All campers whose applications are completed (and at least deposit paid) and returned to the DBA office by July 1st will be eligible for a Kindle Fire Drawing and other door prizes.

Building Brains Lego Engineering 2 (AM) - Bellaire City Hall
Learn to BUILD simple machines using gears, levers and pulleys and then MOTORIZE these machines using LEGO and K?NEX educational kits. Our written Engineering curriculum BUILDS MATH and SCIENCE skills with hands on Kinetic learning techniques. Each day we will build new simple machines and conduct experiments to see how well they perform. STEM CURRICULUM. Students will understand why a machine works and will learn how to manipulate a machine to go faster or slower. Fine motor skills, critical thinking skills; imagination and confidence will increase in this fun-filled class. Our program reinforces the Elementary school math and science curriculum.Half Day students: Please bring a snack and a drink with your childs name clearly marked each day.
