Canoe trip on the Au Sable River with overnight lodging at YMCA Camp Timbers. Co-ed, ages 13-17. Join YMCA Camp Timbers staff for a TEEN ADVENTURE WEEKEND canoeing the Au Sable River! The weekend begins with a Friday night stay at Camp Timbers before launching on the Au Sable River Saturday morning. After spending Saturday canoeing the river, participants return to Camp Timbers in the evening to enjoy S’mores around a campfire. The weekend ends with debriefing, unpacking, and a sampling of adventure activities at camp on Sunday. The JVC TV Fundraiser program is in coordination with JVC, the NFL Alumni's mission of "Caring for Kids" and the NFL Play 60 Program, a program that promotes the idea of 60 minutes of exercise a day for kids of all ages. The fundraiser consists of two JVC TV’s, an HD 55” and the other an HD 65”. Only 300 tickets will be available exclusively on our web site for $20 each or 3 for $50. Each ticket has the opportunity to win one of the two TVs. Once the 300 tickets are sold no more will be available. It will be a first come, first serve event. The first ticket that is drawn will win the 55” TV, then the second ticket drawn will win the 65” TV. The grand drawing will be held during our 4th Quarter NFL Alumni "Meet & Greet", Nov. 19 6pm to 9pm, scheduled to be located at the BoneFish Grill in Jacksonville Beach. CAMP What is the best way to cool off on a hot day? How can we save energy powering trains? Animals, plants and other organisms have been adapting to challenges like this for the whole history of our planet. Nature has a lot to teach us about how to solve problems in ways that are good for the Earth. Through hands-on inquiry, games, art and outdoor investigations we will discover the efficiency of natures adaptations and ask what we can learn from nature about how to live more sustainably. 4132566006.0

For Boys and Girls ages 4-12. This camp offers a combination of traditional sports games like floor hockey, soccer, basketball, flag football, handball, wiffleball, physical education activities such as tag games, pinball, battleship, virtual space tag, north south, gold rush, capture the football, and various cooperative games. We ask that our full day campers bring a (peanut butter free) snack and lunch and water bottle, and our half day campers bring a peanut butter free snack and water bottle. Children are divided by age into small groups and will participate in developmentally appropriate activities for their groups.
