Dunham Woods Farm is a top-notch equestrian facility dedicated to providing the best instruction available for over 50 years. Our teachings are based on tradition and looking to the future. You?ll learn all about the proper ways to groom, tack and handle horses. In the saddle you will learn the basics of riding at the walk and trot. You?ll learn tons of cool information about breeds, colors, markings of horses and more! Games and other activities will be included as well. Riders should wear jeans or Jodhpur pants and hard soled riding or hiking boots with a small, low heel. Bring an approved riding helmet or bicycle helmet and a sack lunch! JUMP START SPORTS- LACROSSE CAMP (FULL-DAY) - Ben Robertson Community Center
Get ready to learn all about the fastest growing sport in the United States! Lacrosse has elements of soccer, football, basketball and hockey. Once you try lacrosse, youll love it! All equipment will be provided in this highly instructional program. Campers will receive training on all fundamentals, including passing and catching; fielding ground balls, cradling, spacing, positioning, and defense. Plastic sticks and soft balls will be used which eliminates the need for helmets and shoulder pads. No checking, stick checking, or poking will be permitted! Join anytime during the week (fee will be pro-rated). Multi-Camp Discount: Register for two or more full-day Jump Start Sports Camps and receive a $15 discount off the registration fee for the second and each subsequent camp. Supplies: Campers should bring a packed lunch with a beverage, snacks and plenty of water each day. All campers should arrive at camp with sunscreen already applied, as well as with additional sunscreen, as needed. We recommend a sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30. Dates: June 27-July 1 Time: 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm for Girls Entering Grades 7-12 Format: One-week session Location: Laurels Butler Campus in Russell Township Tuition: Boys-Only Camp: $325/session: Girls-Only Camp: $180/session Get a jump on the season with an intense week of fitness and skill training! This first-class soccer camp focuses on enhancing individual skills, building team tactics and teaching intricacies of the game. In addition to soccer skills, campers will spend time in our state-of-the-art 16,000-square-foot fitness center while working with Laurels certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist to learn about lifting techniques, agility, speed, ACL injury prevention and nutrition. Participants will be split into groups based on age and experience. Coach Dennis Weyn - Director of Coaching for Ohio Premier Soccer Club and Eastside Kickers, Dennis is a former member of the U16 and U18 Dutch National Teams and played professional soccer in the Netherlands and the US.
