Please join us at Bootheel Youth Camp on September 26 from 9:00 AM-2:30 PM (lunch will be provided) for BYC’s second annual youth rally. (Registration will start at 8:30 and singing will begin at 9:00 AM.) The speaker this year will be Willie Franklin speaking on "The Power of Courage". 5 Day Camp Costs $87.50 3:00pm-5:00pm –Costuming Make & Take Design and make a costume. Will need to supply own fabric. Students can bring own machine and supplies. There will be extra machines and supplies available. Basic sewing skills needed or approval from instructor.

We just love seeing our campers and their families return to the village in February and March to enjoy Sherwood Forest Faire, and obviously a great part of that is when campers encounter each other! This year, for the first time, we would like to have an official "Reunion" for our Youth Campers and Adult Campers alike to help facilitate that. Both events (which will be separate, because we don't want the Adult Campers teaching the younger ones bad habits) will take place during weekend #2, Feb 20-21. Mark your calendar! Jump Start Lacrosse - Rotary Park
Boys and Girls in grades K-6 will learn to play the fastest growing sport in the United States! Lacrosse is action packed and lots of fun. It has the elements of soccer, football, basketball and hockey. Experienced coaches provided by Jump Start Sports lead the training on all the fundamentals, including: passing & catching, fielding ground balls, cradling, spacing, positioning and defense. Players will be divided by gender and age to play fun game situational scrimmages. Plastic sticks and soft balls will be provided. The week begins with simple programming until it builds by the end where students will be able to create the game of pong in Java. No programming experience is necessary but doing common tasks on a computer is useful. Who knows, maybe you have the next Bill Gates or Steve Jobs living in your house and you never knew it!
