420 Intermediate Session 1 - 15 Tucks Point Rd., Manchester
The 420 Intermediate class is designed for sailors who have mastered the basics and want to enhance their sailing skills in a double-handed boat. Successful completion of two sessions of the 420 Beginner class, Opti Advanced, Opti Race Team, or a sailor who can demonstrate similar skills is required. There will be both chalkboard (pre and post sailing) and on-the-water instruction with a focus on fun while learning. Students will learn boat handling, sail trim and introductory spinnaker skills. This class has a hands on learn-to-sail focus. When complete, sailors will be able set, fly, and douse a spinnaker, demonstrate skipper/crew communication and teamwork, sail a 420 upwind, downwind, and do so with independence and confidence. This class is best for 12 – 18 year olds who are seeking to become proficient at two-person performance dinghy sailing. This is a great step towards either racing, or a recreational oriented mastery of sailing. 978-526-8345

YOUTH RUNNER ELITE MIDDLE SCHOOL CAMP If youre looking for a great experience that will give you a boost going into your Cross Country season this fall then the Youth Runner Elite Camp may be for you. Youre going to have fun, make new friendships, and maybe even meet your competitors. Youll also get some one on one advice from experienced coaches and athletes. Every day a Guest Olympian or an Elite Athlete will stop by to tell you their story and answer your questions. Youll leave with a plan and access to your camp coach through emails and phone calls until the end of cross country season. You can even bring your coach back home into the conversation. Whats Different? We love the camps with 200 runners sleeping in tents and getting crazy. Thats not this camp though. Open to Philadelphia Freedom faceoff players first due to field rental. Each Winter Open Faceoff Days will consist of warm ups, presentation and group practice of specific faceoff techniques as well as real time faceoffs. Faceoff techniques will include footwork, stance, hand position, primary move, counter move, GB play, wing play, stick work, and shooting instruction, etc. Individual player observation and instruction will occur throughout. Clinic will conclude with a skill appropriate king of the hill. Equestrian Camps - Horseback Riding - Camp Olympia
Children will ride twice a day 4 times per week, swim every day, and do various unmounted horse activities including leading horses, unsaddling, grooming, bathing, cleaning tack, plus general barn responsibilities. There is no riding on Thursdays (horses much deserved day off- try running around in 90+ degree weather with a fur coat on), but the kids will have unmounted horse activities such as those listed above and have the opportunity to play Camp Game, traditional favorite. Long pants, smooth, hard soled shoes, bathing suit, towel, and lunch are needed every day. All camp forms must be completed and received by Camp Olympia before camper can attend this program.
