Prerequisite: Passed Basic 5. This camp will teach skaters how to express emotion and exhibit true artistry on the ice, and also provide an exciting performance opportunity. Throughout the week, skaters will work on music interpretation, choreography, and rehearse for the performance.Please bring sneakers for off-ice workouts, snack, and a water bottle. Tech Time 3rd-5th - Evergreen Country Day School
Designed with the collaborative workshop model in mind, campers will enjoy an in-depth exploration of two essential tech tools: Scratch programming and Lego stop animation. Using MITs Scratch programming language, fundamental concepts will be taught so campers can start creating stories, games and animations and even try applying some of these skills to games like Minecraft. Well then investigate tricks of the trade for creating Lego stop animation movies so campers can make their very own flicks. The week ends with a culminating workshop day for students to tweak and expand existing projects. No previous experience necessary; just come with curiosity and readiness to have fun! Rookie Camp is a four-day, three-night mini-session designed for first time campers as an introduction to the camp and preparation for a full length Camp Jack Hazard session.
