2016 Speed of Play : Leadership through Fitness CRIC - Coon Rapids Ice Center
(2016 SOP SCHEDULE BELOW) AKASPORTs Speed of Play: Leadership through Fitness Program, is led by AKA Director, Chris Schulz and the AKA professional training Staff. Participants enrolled in the AKA Speed of Play (SOP program), in partnership with the AKA All Sports Camp (ages 6-12), will offer adolescents an opportunity to be active, train and play in an All Sports setting geared to teach them leadership qualities with personal mentorship opportunities. The base of the Speed of Play program is from 9:00am-4:00pm and the doors are open for all Speed of Play participants from 7:00am-6:00pm, the same hours of the AKA All Sports Camp so you can take advantage of supervised activity time the entire day. Join us for clay and art camp at El Marino Park and enjoy an exciting and creative experience. We will learn how clay is made and used in many cultures around the world and explore working with clay using a variety of techniques and equipment like the slab roller and pottery wheel in addition to the clay work, camp will include special art projects such as mixed media sculpture drawing acrylic painting water color and fiber art. The Players Camp is a five-day, overnight program designed to give the higher-level junior player an opportunity to develop their game in preparation for high-school/collegiate/tournament golf. Learning sessions will include technical instruction in all parts of the game, course management and mapping, mental training, fitness education, nutrition habits, significant on-course playing time and college recruitment information. Each camper will receive one-on-one instruction with the Stanford Coaching Staff and other DI Coaches and Current Collegiate Players; space is limited for this camp.
