Session 5: Rube Goldberg Machines Week! - Explorers - The Hitchcock Center for the Environment
CAMP Rube Goldberg is back by popular demand in the summer of 2016! Youll love this camp if you love watching energy flow from one thing to another, like in marble runs, water walls and falling dominoes! We will spend this camp session collaborating and building Rube Goldberg machines – contraptions that perform a simple task in the most complicated way possible. In both individual and group settings, campers will get to experiment with everyday objects to create Rube Goldberg machines and complete challenges. This camp is designed to work with girls on the basic fundamentals of basketball. Individual skill drills include: shooting, dribbling, rebounding, passing, defense and offensive moves. 9B. Summer Camp - Java Game Programming - 5 Days - Gizmos & Gadgets Kids Lab
Students will learn about project design, object-oriented programming, console applications, graphics applications and many elements of the Java language. Along the way students will build on what they learn each day. This includes learning how to program frames, colors and programming moving objects. The week begins with simple programming until it builds by the end where students will be able to create the game of pong in Java.
