Winter Break Camp for the Teen Horse Lover - Spring Grove, IL
Up to three fun filled days (Monday, 12/28; Tuesday, 12/29 and Wednesday, 12/30 - you pick which day(s) you want to be here) with horses for those 13 to 17 years of age. No previous riding experience necessary. All riders, no matter their experience level will have fun playing in our indoor arena with our holiday trail course. The course can be ridden a number of different ways enabling the camper to build on their riding skills no matter where they are starting from. Campers will also be helping with some part of the day-to-day care of the horses and ponies that live here at Meadowsweet Ranch and each day will include some educational time in our heated club room. Breaks and lunch will be enjoyed in our heated club room also.

In this class you will practice hearing sounds, rhyme words, read poems, break apart words, sort pictures, spell patterns and more. Primary Ballet - Old Trail School
The early childhood ballet class is designed to provide young students in grades K-2 the basic foundation for their dance education. This class welcomes beginners and will cover the fundamentals of classical ballet technique and etiquette. The important of strength, flexibility, rhythm, musicality, and memorization will be stressed. Students will work at a traditional barre, learn combinations in the center, and dance gracefully across the floor - the universal foundation for the training of a ballet dancer. Cavalier Cross Country Camp - Boy Camper - The Miller School
The camp aims to prepare campers to compete in running events from 800-meters through 10,000-meters and cross country. There will be two running activities daily, each will be between 25 minutes and 60 minutes in duration, depending on age and ability. Teams are encouraged to come as a group, and learn to work together. A team is considered 5 or more from the same school, residential camper price is $445. To register as a team you must call/email Todd Morgan to register. We will have expert speakers covering racing, training, and strength strategies. Camp facilities include miles of trains, gym, pool, lake, canoes, etc.. A full-time camp counselor staff includes a certified ATC Trainer, and life guard. Teen Artist Work/Study - MacRostie Art Center
The MacRostie Art Center work/study program for teen artists increases accessibility to our educational programming for teens while providing opportunity to experience real-world visual art administration and will look great on any resume or college application. Teen artists may choose to focus on experience in exhibitions and curatorial work, art education, event planning, or any other aspect of what the MAC does for the art community. This opportunity is open to artists ages 15-18. For every 6 hours worked, students will receive a $60 voucher towards the tuition of any MacRostie art workshop to be used in the following year. Girls Volleyball Day Camp - Costello Sports Complex
The camp is intended to teach players the fundamentals of volleyball from A to Z. Players will be grouped according to their age and ability. They will receive both individual and team instruction. The USM staff is geared up to give the beginning player the skills necessary to compete, while challenging event he most advanced youngster. This camp will emphasize skill development and both individual and team concepts. Each player will receive special attention according to their individual needs. Our goal is to develop skills, team play and overall ability so that each player becomes more knowledgeable and better able to apply these concepts to game situations. The philosophy will be to improve through hard work, develop individual and team skills and to have a positive and fun experience.
